Project Brazil was never meant to be a small project. Many years ago, when we first started this mad adventure, I planned on FPB showing off the best of what we could do, then going out and getting a job at one of the major studios. 2-3 years, tops, I thought.... 6 years later, our release date is actually approaching, and there is still ever loving fuck tons of work left to do!
Starting at the end of September, and finally ending October 27th, we recorded 44 voice actors, in 4 languages, across two continents. We have so many characters in F: PB that it's staggering. There are AT LEAST 5,000 lines currently in text, and we've managed to edit and add 2,777 files to the game so far. That's in between new 3D art, our programmers working around the clock, and me appearing at a couple conventions to give live talks and demo the mod.
My dogs and I just got home a week ago, and so far I haven't had as much time as I'd like to get the mod to that POLISHED AND DONE mark I'd hope we'd reach by now. But I have managed to make our new loading screens, the new radio, and make the FEV ravaged Infected Savages. I gave a talk at TusCon Sci-Fi Horror Convention and sat editing dialogue while talking to the audience. :p Multi-tasking hardcore.
If you'll be at Tucson Comicon this year, I'll be giving another panel on Game Mods this year. Be there on Saturday at 5:00! I'll also have F: PB part 2's current WIP running on a PC down in the vender hall if you'd like to drop by and play what we have ready so far! We're still missing a boat ton of audio that isn't cut & edited yet (or hell, isn't lip-synced yet! D:) but it's starting to look and feel like a real finished project!
These will be the new loading screens you'll see as New Vegas boots up. I'm thinking about possibly replacing the vanilla music with one of our original tracks too. Haven't decided yet. Thanks once more to Cameron August for his work!
Someone at Kotaku is clearly watching our Bookface. :p We won't be beating Fallout 4 to release. We came REAL close. But RickerHK had to go back and rip out the really shoddy work on the first main quest for the Raider Alliance path and replace it with functional scripts that are much more entertaining and reliable. luckily, the next major quest in that path is done and solid thanks to Seddon. That tanked about 2 1/2 weeks out of our very razor thin margin of error, and my recording started a little late.
In the next few days i'll update you guys with some soundcloud files and in-game character screencaps to show off the hours and hours of absurdly good voice work we covered!
You can read more about our progress on the Design Documents Found Here. In the mean time, you can keep track of us on ModDB, Fallout Nexus, or Facebook. We've got a thriving online community centred around each one.
Cheers

I've been watching rather late on this mod but I have to say it looks great so far. I'm really looking forward to it's release.
Good work so far and take your time to deliver something great.
This looks great.
Too bad I will probably be too busy playing Fallout 4, so I won't be able to play this when it comes out.
Thanks for the update. Cool stuff ahead!
I'm getting Fallout 4, so I'm definitely playing Project Brazil when I can.
Keep up the good work guys!
Make it happen guys, so excited since i CANNOT play fallout 4 since i am too poor! :P Have been waiting for years hehe :D
Good thing my computer can't handle Fallout 4...
has a release date been announced?
If I can find a solution to using my Leads for clean-up and grunt work, we'll be done in about a month. But we're very low on manpower, and all the little things that should be handled by a couple people doing mop up are being handled by the 3 of us who tackle the big things. So that is really deleting our momentum.
Volunteer projects. Can't afford / charm minions.
Keep up the great work!
I'm probably going to like this better than Fallout 4 from what I hear.
