More HD Re-textures and New Videos!
Back in Old 2013, I had a terrible PC. It could hardly run New Vegas vanilla, let alone an ENB. It made developing a pain and playing a chore. Then Tom Rogers from Green Valley AZ donated a top of the line gaming rig, and life has been much better since. I can now record HD videos with no FPS drops using an ENB and my own 4K textures that lend to a very polished cinematic vibe.
I've been working to upgrade our In-Game Videos and continuing my Global Texture Overhaul. You can see a lot of that below.
I also made a tutorial to show how I do it.
If you enjoy retexturing old game assets, you'll love this. Whether it be a mod, or a professional overhaul like Homeworld Remastered or Skyrim SE. (Or New Vegas Remastered *ahembethesdacough*)
Just, an inordinate amount of work has gone into the new videos. Since the last May update, I've probably spent well over 100 hours on them, and things related to them, like new textures.
The New Intro Video is getting a dramatic improvement. Instead of being set in The Boneyards (which we never see) we set it in The Pass where the mod actually takes place. It will reveal more of the story details and event foreshadowing relevant to our story, as well as feature this new area.
The Raider Alliance also got an upgrade to their flags this week.
These are in the editor, obviously. ;p
Almost done! One more group of shots to record and edit in, and we're officially totally renovated for BETA200! (Except the Overseer's voice is still broken. And that Security Guard. XD)
Bragg's voice in the Intro video also got radically overhauled.The old one made me want to cry. :p It was muddy, tinny, garbled, and just... awful.
No longer! It is far more clear, and while not perfect - nothing would beat re-recording it - it sounds sooo much better. It was the first audio we ever recorded for FPB in May 2012, under less than ideal conditions.
Bragg's part of the Intro has also been remade in glorious high definition, with better lighting, animations, textures, and scene effects.
I've invested in Adobe Audition to help fix the Plosive Plague that curses some of our audio. That will help boost our quality a lot more, and even out that ear saddening puh-puh that some of our actors unfortunately had in their recording.
With any luck, Next Moth's July update will come with a more serious announcement regarding the, ahem, actual big milestone in FPB's development where our Main Quest is done, start to finish. After that is done we are firmly in ALPHA and ready to invite in the few remaining die hard modders of New Vegas to integrate their mods into ours and upgrade some of the rough spots gameplay and content wise.
When I announce we are in ALPHA, it means we are out of the woods and a release is imminent. :D
I still don't want to say a hard day when we will for certain be done. That all depends on Rick getting his quest work done, which I have no control over his schedule, and me wrapping up the ending narration videos. Which isn't far from done!

I remember playing Project Brazil a couple of years back, I loved it and was confused and disappointed that it basically ended after leaving the vault. Can't wait for the full mod to come out!
Cannot wait till this drops! Fallout Brazil is one of the best mods I have ever played and i wish to continue to keep playing. The amount of hard work and dedication in the first installment was absolutely breathtaking. It made me forget that I was actually on the game of Fallout New Vegas. No other mod has ever scraped the surface of the effort and plotting that it took to assemble this, and I was just finding out about it this year! Even the first installment in my opinion should have been on the first page of the New Vegas mods on Nexus. Kudos to the amazing work on the Fallout Brazil as a whole, I'm staying tuned constantly on Facebook following every bit of work you put up! I'm super excited to see how it all turns out!
