It was quite unexpected to me, I must say. We made the top 100 this year too, and considering there weren't any updates from six months now, not even any official petition from my part, it's a nice achievement I guess.
And well, as you may noticed, it's harder and harder to find people online playing the mod. However there still seems to be interest in it, so perhaps someone could try to organize some sort of friendly matches every weekend or so. Nothing to do with competitive stuff, I don't think that would work. Matches could be announced in our steam group (I'd give access there), maps to be played could be voted somewhere. I'm also open to suggestions, it's just a pity so much work go to waste now when the mod is more fun and playable than it ever was.
Lastly, I see from time to time FoF assets used in other projects. I never gave permission to use them, doesn't matter if credits are given or not, such practices aren't welcomed. I'm not going to chase after anybody because of that (well, I could do someday, who knows), however I feel like this mod gave much more than it received, so anyone taking stuff from it just aggravates that feeling.

I still play Fistful of Frags. Though Call of Duty and Left 4 Dead 2 have my attention now since Christmas. Fistful of Frags is definitely the best Western multiplayer game though. It pretty much has no competition as far as multiplayer westerns go, as far as I am aware of...

I too still enjoy playing this mod, I just have so many other things I want to try that it's kind of gotten lost in the shuffle. I do intend to get back to it though. Congrats on the top 100!
I would still play but during a early release I got banned from a server for beating the snot out of a admin. Apparently some admins can't handle it when they get killed 6 times in a row with arrows.. ( and the map before I was using duel handguns and doing fairly well )
After that, and seeing some admin abuse on another server I just stopped playing. That might be part of the reason why not soo much people play it. Its a nice mod, just bad servers/admins.
I love this mod; I wish more people played it. Sometimes, there's absolutely nobody out there.

I used to play FOD all the time, its the best gamemode ever made :)

Still hate the notoriety system. Don't know if you guys changed it or not but all I remember from my FOF experience that I want MORE GUNS AVAILABLE
It was upped indeed. Starting notoriety went up to 35, in some maps up to 50 (from initial 25). Finding a balance between novice-friendliness and a RPG like upgrade system was pretty hard, they are opposite concepts. In the end many people played just because the RPG thing than the game itself, which was a mere excuse to fight with better guns/upgrades than other players.
I think notoriety system is ok, but you should do some updates... this mod is great... But no players...
