Crystalline is a Half-Life 2 mod that takes you to an abstract crystallised universe that is coming to its end. Deadly Chaos beings are spawning from dark energy and try to eat the few remaining crystals. As the player you must control the crystal avatar and avoid the dangerous Chaos beings while trying to collect energy crystals. This energy can stop the Chaos from dissolving the remaining Crystal Structures that is the last hope of saving the crystalline beings.

Who are we?
Calling ourselves Mad Month Production we are a group of eight students more officially known as Team 3 of DADIU (The Danish National Academy of Digital, Interactive Entertainment) on the March 2008 production.
Crystalline is produced in one month and we look forward to releasing it for free at the start of April 2008.

Hope it goes well guys, we have a few NL guys in our crew and will be interesting to see the actual game in action. Interesting concept.
Sounds like a pretty interesting concept, at least in setting - the real question is, how does it play ;)?
Looks great but... "Coming Apr 4, 2008" ... Only one month? :/
We began developing Crystalline on March 3rd and are set to have it finished on April 1st, hence the one month of development. April 4th is the date when our game production process has officially ended :)
This is going to be one of those mods again. We will finish in one month then you end up spending a lot longer then expected just make it decent not just rushing for a month release this is why a lot of mods fail.
No, we have an exact deadline on April 1st. Like all other DADIU game productions we are given only one month for production.
Our goal is not to make the coolest mod in the world but to learn the process behind producing games.
Most mods fail, not because they have early deadlines and release often and earlt (ahem, CounterStrike, anyone?) - but they fail because the team spends too much time farting about, and not getting anything into the public eye.
Yes sir, no need to preach here. Most of the team have made released HL2 mods before, so we know the game.
