We've been busily working on putting the final touches & testing on 2.0 of CQM. I am really happy to report that one of our most dedicated testers, bloodipunk (a member here on MODDB), has uncovered at least a dozen problems which have all been fixed, meaning that with any luck this will be the most reliable version of CQM yet.
We've also gotten through our integration woes with the 'classic mods', i.e. Pop's Difficult mod, P&P Combat Mod, and Histories mod, all of which seem to be working great now. The only piece we still have an issue with is the Contextual Loading screens, which seem to cause the game to crash more frequently. It seems like it's an unavoidable problem, so that piece is coming with a big disclaimer and a frowny face if you install it; all of which is regrettable, because the new loading screens look absolutely prima.
Anyways, we are anticipating the next release date to be a week from today, May 22nd. This will give us one last week to put on the final touches and do any last testing that needs to be done.Since then we've also made the following additions:
Better Installer
The installer was previously giving a weird issue where it would in some cases, add an extra "Vampire" folder to wherever you were installing it. That has been fixed. Also, ascetically, it looks a LOT better now. There's actual Vampire graphics now, and a nice icon.
New NPC Models
Thanks from bloodipunk's French rendition of the Clans mod, he has been a champ to donate some of his custom skins for use as NPCs in CQM. Jane, from the Toreador quest, and Lorenzo, from the Ventrue quest, both look A LOT more attractive now, as their previous skins were low-res, generic NPC skins.
Anyways, keep your eyes peeled, CQM 2.0 is coming!
Thx for the update.
Really looking forward to the release and future versions :) (new quests, especially)
Keep up the good work.
