Hey guys, Finished a character concept, thought I'd update you guys! I timelapsed the whole ordeal and posted it on Vimeo. I will update my blog soon, but in the mean time head over to my CGHub.
Greetings,

So... wait. Is this a mod still or just a comic book? No disrespect because your work is very professional, but if this is a comic book then I'm no longer following. Again if that's the case I'm sorry... I have the up most respect for anyone with the talent your team possesses and it's your choice to do as you please. It's just not for me.
In that case I'm sorry to inform you that it now is a comic book. And I'd like to thank you for your support over the years.
thanks for the timelapse, great outcome! but i already wrote that underneath the picture here ;)
i understand what Spooboy means, i assume. because i have been tracking this mod now for quit some time and until now we only have seen (very professional looking)concept art. And that is great, but ofcourse are we more interested in how things will look in game mode.
I am a bit afraid though, because we see it all happen time and time again. Then a artist is very skilled in one field, (concept art, weapon modeling, etc). And they start of with that, but then it gets clear that they are not able to really make a mod around it. I really do hope that this is not the case with this mod, and that we soon will see a lot of "real" in game screens of even a gameplay movie, of things that were done behind the scenes, and were not shown yet.
Should this not be the case, then i suggest you do start slowly with building actual game assets. Please don't get me wrong, i really don't want to bash your work, because it is from a rarely seen high quality. But, making concept art is "easy", changing it in to actual game assets is really something else. ANd like i explained, it am afraid it will go the same way as so many other never released or even build mods will go. And that would really be a shame, because what you show us in concept art really does make us want to see more, and play it lateron.
Hope you don't mind me commenting in this form, i really do say this all with the best intentions. Even when i know that it isn't nice to hear. But just because i am that concerned i say these things.
All in all, i love the timelaps movie, i would love to be able to use a painting program like you do, i can draw, but still only with a pen or pencil, lol.
keep up the great work, and hopefully you soon will be able to shut us up with insane looking in game stuff!!
success,
Leon
Keep in mind that all the screenshots that were shown, were running smoothly ingame (HL2 Ep2) and are not photoshopped.
The creation of game content, and getting it ingame wasn't the problem. The scope of the game (an triple A quality cinematic/immersive single-player), and implementing the code needed to achieve this, was the main problem.
Wish i had the brain to paint like this. But then again, i don't know if i'd even have the patience. Nice work!
