"It's approximately a hundred years from now... The aftermath of the Third World War. Countries all over the world are suffering an economic crisis which has led to a dramatic food and water shortage. The countries that do have enough resources are under martial law, food and water are not being divided equally, consequently civil war has broken out.
The country you are in, China, has fallen under a military regime that is trying to bring China back to order by joining the World Union (WU). Joining the WU offers China a chance to resolve it's financial problems, securing it's position internationally.
To accomplish this, the regime has began exporting large amounts of China’s resources, trading with the WU for military supplies to support the oppression of the civilians. A large portion of the population disagrees with China joining the WU and with the export of China's resources. This has led to the formation of rebel groups who try to fight off the military regime.
The WU has classified all rebel cells as terrorist groups and has agreed to help China get rid of them in order to obtain the needed food and water resources. After a failed attempt to evacuate most civilians, which resulted in the slaughter of many Chinese soldiers, China sends in high-tech military equipment, supplied by the WU, to sweep the partially evacuated areas, killing those who stayed behind... Hey guys,
So to state the rather obvious; Lost Hope died a slow and painful death.
Now before we all start crying I'd like to state that the idea and story aren't dead, and that production of this, once mod and now story, will continue using a different medium.
The Lost Hope story will be told in the form of a graphic novel.
That's right, its going 2D. It was a hard choice to make, but I feel that it is a more achievable goal, as the goals and ambitions of the mod where simply put 'to high'. To follow the progress of the graphic novel, head over to Kattevoer's (Felix van den Bergh) blog.
We, the Lost Hope Dev team, would like to thank you all for supporting and following of our mod. It has been a wonderful ride. Peace, we love you all : )

This would have been the most beautiful looking mod ever. Imo **** the story. Still gonna get that graphics novel, do me a favor though and release it for kindle?
WHY!!! WHY!!! This was our Lost hope!
Please revive this mod!
pricks. why don't you guys go die.
We will, one day, just like yourself. *******.
No i cannot accept this, after playing MYO's G-string mod, i am positive this project could come alive just as easily.
I think there is so much work involved (modelling, mapping, sounds, etc) that the team, working a full-time job by now, just doesn't have the energy for it anymmore.
(you guys are working at guerilla right ??) Dont let them tell you no
Let me tell you, i really hope you release your content to another party and direct them with your awesome artwork to make the Mod still come out.
Even if it's gonna cost 20 bucks on steam, i would gladly pay up for such a original project.
It sucks to hear this project died. I just started tracking this, because I was so impressed by the quality of the work and what I thought looked like a very interesting and unique project.
Sucks to hear the project died in this medium, would you please consider releasing the content you have for others to finish/use.
As as alternatives would you ever consider a machima ? if your just using the assets in animation it would be a lot more achievable and still reach some of the same effect.
Else if you are doing a Graphic Novel why not try and animate it like the MGS ones :D
Darn.
Deader than a dead dead dead mcdeaderdead. Dead.
Visiting this page after half a year. Nothing has changed.
Almost puts a lump in my throat man.
