Hey guys,
first of all some facts about the Beta test:
- we will create a special forum divided in a german and an english part
- there will be 2 versions to test, a german and an english one(of course you will test the english one^^)
- the english tester start a week after the german ones, cause Spinobreaker will add his english patch first and we want to translate some more texts
- the beta version will NOT contain the whole stuff. We will add events, maps and some other stuff while the test.
- it will last 2 or maximal 3 weeks and start on 09.11.2008
- every tester will get a special task like "test all ground maps", "search for model/texture bugs", "search for missing texts" and so on.
Now, if you are interested in becoming a tester you should have the following skills and attributes:
- much time(at least 1 hour a day)
- discipline: don't just play 30 min., keep playing so your chance to find a bug increases
- be discreet, don't tell or show anybody what you see in the beta(except other tester of course)
- write and speak a clear and good english so everybody understands what you mean
- don't just play, analyse! Means, don't watch the beautiful effects but recognize the bugs!
- don't suggest, find bugs! You're not here to suggest things like "make the Aurora buildable"->except it is necessary to kill a bug.
Cause i don't know anybody here personally i will give you some tests so i can hopefully recognize who is really willing and able to test.
First test:
tell me why you think you're the one we should take for the test! Simply write me a PM during the next 48 hours with your reasons!
At about that time on Friday i will check all the PMs and you'll hear again from me.
i think i would be a good beta tester because i love the game and will play for more than a hour. i would not post anything about the game. i have beta tested before.i would would be dedicated to my task. there it is thank you

you should have posted system requirements as well.
You do not want people in the beta, whose machine can barely run the vanilla game, having it run poorly and then complaining of a bug.
the system requirements would only be a bit higher than for normal EAW mainly because of the size of the hive
You're right, but on the other hand EaW is 2 1/2 years old so i assume that almost everybody now has a PC that is capable enough to run EaW.

Hi, I'm french too and I'm in holidays too lol so I've the time for test your mod and I have played with 0.7 and 0.8 ^^ and i have correct some mistake because I know some code ( weapon, shield, hardpoint...) my only weakness lol my english ^^.
most people in England are on holidays because it half term. so i and most people in England have loads of spare time.

When you can't read and do what i postulate, then you have nothing to do in the beta test!
I would be a good beta tester because i have played the game a lot and I am very good at spotting bugs.I will play the game at least the 1 hour a day and give you regular updates and any bugs or glitches. I am a great fan of stargate and a great fan of this mod and I have practicaly flowed it form its birth. Also i speak fluent english.

i have been following this mod for about a year now and its sooo amazing i have some beta testing experiance (red alert 3) and i am a huge fan of stargate and star wars so i think id be good for this

AHHH!!! I have been waiting for this game for age’s and I dam wanna be a tester but I have my exams in 3 dam weeks. AHHH I how that for timing? :)
I have the same problem, I simply have no time to do beta testing. All my exams are staggered so I have one every week and it totally sucks. Bio next week then psycology the week after that then o chem the next week then physics the next week.
