August, we take it easy news

Most of the team members being back from vacation, they don't hang around they go back to work! Some of the progress done is not ready to be shown. That is the case of the HUD which was started but also of the coding that continues, with the coming of a new skilled coder: gruiiik. Some progress was done on the King of the hill mode, the radar and the ammo, but you will still have to wait a bit more if you want to see some screenshots :D

Iggy starts with the modeling and creates a "Pin-Ball" grenade model:

The modeling part of the mod is the less advanced right now, hence the fact that we greatly need new modelers, animators and 2D-artists (skinners), the survival of the mod may rely on this...

In 2023, the Carrington Institute is able to establish an official contact with a previsously unknown extraterrestrial race. It is by the courageous action of a new special agent, Joanna Dark, that everything went faster.

While the Humans were occupied by their economic war they had no idea of what could happen to them, an undercover alien race was menacing to exterminate the whole human race.

For the Humans, two alien races appeared,
-the Maïans, they are well advanced technologically and are recognized to be very quiet people.
-the Skedars, strong warriors who only use the technology to dominate even more.

Because the Skedars were critically hit on their main planet, they have a strong desire to take vengeance. Weakened by the moves done out of the Humain/Maïan collaboration, they had to wait on the secondary planets they conquered to renew their force, something that wouldn't have been possible without the help of a mysterious ally...

What the Humans still ignore is the real link between the maïan's world and their. In 2024, one year after the victory of the Humain/Maïan collaboration, an alliance was officialy established between the two races to share their power and ressources to better fight the remaining skedar planets, but also to preserve a comfortable environment for their respective civilisation.

The night before that glorious day, which took place on Earth for practical and security reasons, you could feel a nervous tension. The Humans had to guarantee a flawless protection, because in every race there are opposants that could manifest themselves.

When everything seemed ready, something bad happened, the Maïan escort going to Earth never arrived. It disappeared a few kilometers before reaching its destination, surrounding an area where Jonathan Dark also disappeared three months ago.

For the institute, there is no doubt that the nonconformists are the cause of that story, maybe even the Skedars. But what happened exaclty?

It's what you'll need to discover, Agent Dark.

About the sound, the very devoted sound artist Krispy tees our ears with his revised version of "Hostage One" (Villa).

To conclude, even if we repeat ourselves, the mod greatly need modelers, animators and 2D-artists. In fact, coders & mappers are about to finish the content for the first beta version, but the release of that beta may be compromised due to the low quantity of usable models available. That's why we really need a modeler that is capable to animate or/and skin his work.
