ASFA E3 Conference is now over. Let's talk about what happened there for us. For those who don't know what ASFA is about, it is a Fench E3 Conference about Science-Fiction content (movies, games, books...) where associations and companies come to present their own work, free or not. There are as well professional websites, professional development groups. ASFA is located in Amélie-les-Bains, a famous french city (South).

Our first conference, but a great conference
Despite the fact that the first day was difficult, mostly because our stall was by far more important that the one we've been looking for, there were a lot of visitors interested in our stuff, including professionals (first picture). In other words, the first day was a great start, even with the size problem. We discussed with professionals such as CinéMédia, Jeuxvidéo.fr, Blizzard. Partnerships are in the process of being signed.

On sunday, with a brand new organization, we were able to improve our whole position. The whole stall was reorganized including our presentations, our computers and so on... We had 4 high-end laptops to present each mod we have at Phoenix Interactive. The profitability in term of promotion of our modifications was really important. We organized a tournament during the afternoon for all spectators. Finally, after a long battle, it's the Business director (from Jeuxvidéo.fr) who won the battle. Even if he wasn't the winner, there was a child playing our mods and he had a really impressive tactic for Battlestar Galactica Fleet Commander. He managed to take down almost a whole fleet with his Galactica, and believe me, it wasn't easy.
Anyway, please notice that Stargate Space Conflict and Battlestar Galactica Fleet Commander were the most interesting modifications for the whole audience present there.

So much memories
The way our team was received at this conference was really great. Special thanks to Robert Pujade, ASFA lead director. We had a free housing. Amélie-les-Bains is definitely an interesting city. With an incredible panorama and an incredible climate.
Each evening we ate at "Le Select", a great local restaurant. A great food at a reasonable price. After that, some of us decided to play at Battlestar Galactica (board game) while others were drinking at a pub (except last evening. We watched two Stargate episodes (season 7, episode 3&4) together. In other words, this conference was a success for us. For some members of our association, it was the first "face-to-face". Only 7 members were present (there are 54 members in our association).
Whole list: Corentin, Charles, Thibault, Julian, Lydéric, Cyril & Pierre

Special Thanks
We need to thank both fans we have for a such promotion. It was so great to be recognized by some of you (there were English and Spanish fans as well !). Another great thank to Robert for his sincerity and his great dose of humor. Another great thank for all professionals such as Jeuxvidéo.fr. They gave us another laptot for our tournament and that was great !
Anyway, please, can you pay a little more attention for Pierre (aka TheMaster), a consultant. He didn't know where he was in the city. When we asked (by phone) what kind of building or house he can see, his answer was... "All I see is... the city, mostly".

Future plans
We will be at Art To Play, another french conference (not E3 this time) located in Nantes, France. The "UK Division" (in fact the British members) of Phoenix Interactive may come at London Comic Con' this month but we still need to work on details.
