Well, it's finally here! The re-release of Ages of the Federation is upon us!
Stop reading this post right this ****ing minute and go download it. I'll wait.
Welcome back.
As we've been saying from the start, Ages of the Federation 2.0 is a full rebuild of the mod and should be viewed as a completely new experience. You'll find it to be quite different from the original experience of 1.0.
In addition to the many changes and additions to the mod, you may find some gaps and placeholders. We are aware of these and will be addressing them via a patch in the near future. Anything missing from the mod at this point is purely down to us running out of time as our deadline approached. We literally worked up to the last minute on this one. Don't worry - the mod will be complete in due course.
The most notable absence, for most of you, is going to be the Romulan faction. They haven't been removed from the mod - the option to select them has simply been temporarily disabled until we're finished working on them. They'll be included in the future patch. Have no fear - your favourite green-blooded hobgoblins will be along shortly.
It's been a ot of work putting this new release together. We really hope you enjoy it. Your ongoing support has been amazing and as a team we're so grateful for each and every one of you. Have fun, guys. Go forth and conquer!

I love the coalition and the new federation. I love the mechanics that you implemented for each time period. The unique mechanics for each time period, the UI... everything is brilliant.
I dont like that the original 4 year ships, with a handful of exceptions, are being left in the dust as is the art style for that era. I really dislike that - but it is your creative baby so you can do what you want with this. What youve done is really incredible. I am going to humbly ask, that at a future date you reocnsider this decision. I recognize this project and the sequel are priority right now - so I have no illusion that this will change ever. But - the artwork for the ships, the models, that true 4 year war stule based off of Axanar... there is nothing like it. No other team has achieved what you have in that regard. Even now, you have out done yourselves in the UI, both in game and in general menus, mechanics, etc.
My request aside, this is the pinnacle of what Sins modding is. A standard has been set - bravo.
