This mod aims to bring the extra-galactic race of Yuuzhan Vong into SW: FoC as a playable 4th faction. Original factions will receive new units to fight these invaders.

Suuv Ban D´Krids were a rather common ship in Yuuzhan Vong ranks. These cruisers are good all-rounders: they can fight enemy fighters, corvettes, frigates or even cruisers; carry some fighters; and have decent shielding. Basically the only special thing about this ship is its ability to perform a dash forward, causing heavy damage to anything hit. There are 2 "dashes" available which switch randomly: 1 is horizontal and the other vertical, so you can hit capital ships flying on lower levels of maps. You´ll need some practices with that, cause hitting anything moving is a matter of skill! ;)

What does it mean in the description that shielding has a 0.07 second delay?
that you can swallow 1 incoming projectile per 0,07 seconds. the way we use Vong shielding makes them strong in 1v1 combat, but once your ship gets overwhelmed, the Dovin Basals can´t protect you much...
I´ve read in a book that NR used this disadvantage and modified their weapons to fire more shots in a short volley with longer recharge time before firing a new one.
Really the Vong books are bad and strange at tech details, in the begining the NR had a lot of problems defeating the Vong weapons, the books from the half of the story avoid tell about it, for them it was more victory with the size of the forces and in the last books the Vongs are weaker as if they had lost all their powerful weapons.
hey i am very surprised by this mod... dont get me wrong, i love to see another yuuzhan vong mod but i really want to know why do you make this mod... i mean you are already in a modteam and model the great yuuzhan-ships. :)

sry i am very curious on eaw foc mods and the modders because i love this game and the mods even more! i hope i get a chance to make my own little mod in the future^^

Because that mod will take another 5 years to finish, while this one is meant to finish much faster, so that they can play the game with their models in it faster. That's what I assume is the reason anyway.

I showed Buerntstrobe this tool, but he disagreed. He said that we are not going to use, because it will look different in game.

Very interesting, it remembers me to the Unity3D development tool at concept. For edit eaw there are more programs than 3dmax which they can be very useful.
danke sehr! well, the thing is that the scope of the other mod is pretty big, so we are practically doing the same what we were doing in Shapers (creating the Vong faction), just with more...freedom.
