Hi. Are there any way to transfer videos from RA 2 campaings into the mod version campaings?
Copy movies01.mix and movies02.mix from RA2 (CDs) to the RedRes folder as expandmd21 and expandmd22 respectively.
Hi. I have found movies01.mix and movies02.mix and copy them, so I noticed that movies during missions have appeared but where do I find expandmd21 and expandmd22. Because in the base folder I have found only expandmd01 and expandmd06 but their did nothing when I copy them. I mean there is no video brifings before missions.
You're supposed to rename them to expandmd21 and expandmd22 respectively

What the guest said. Also you have to place them into the Red Resurrection folder and not to your base folder - the one folder with md10, md11 and md99 already pre-existing.
Thx. By the way got cutscenes working only on my clean Ultimate collection in Origin. For reasom onn RA YR verrions that already have been installed with other mods wasnt working. Anyway thanks again.
Oh do you by any chance now how to make RA 2 work with ALT-TAB?
Experiment with the renderers. On my system, TS-DDRAW is fine and DDrawCompat works only if the alt-tabbing happened on the apuse menu.

Soviet movies still doesn't play
Only works for Allies and not Soviets here.
It doesn't run for me. I press run and it just comes back to the start launcher.
Have you installed it correctly to your RA2 folder?

What do you mean "press run" as well? Sounds a bit like you're using the 2.1 version to me.
Actually I'm not. By Run I mean launch, campaign mission or skirmish match, it just won't run even with the compatability mode on. It's a fresh Yuri install, I even tried it on the Mental Omega install and it still won't work despite Mental working perfectly.
It's not even saying anything, it just won't run.

Hi, I have launching issue. I have install the folder into the yuri's revenge folder but I cannot launch the red resurrection. When I launch it, it appears the following message:
CnCNet Client has crashed. Error message:
Access to the path 'C:\Program Files (x86)\Red Alert 2 Yuri's Revenge\Red-Resurrection\Client\client.log' is denied.
Go to the redres folder and try granting RRLauncher.exe, gamemd.exe and syringe.exe admin privileges. Right click them -> Properties -> Compatibility tab and theres a checkbox at the bottom.
If that fails then best bet would be to copy your RA2 folder to somewhere outside of Program Files, as that is a protected/restricted folder in later Windows that causes these sorts of issues.
When I opened the map editor, it keep popping up messages then after I opened a map file, it keeps loading slow. When I save an edited map, it has a small problem.
Now how can I fix that?

The program can't start because MSVCR110.dll is missing from your computer. Try reinstalling the program to fix this problem.
You need to update your C++ Redistributable package. Try installing this: Microsoft.com

Hi, I have a problem. I cannot change the settings and it shows "Saving settings failed! Error message: Access to the path 'C:\Program Files (x86)Red Alert 2 Yuri's Revenge\Red-Resurrection\ddraw.dll' is denied."
Give RRLauncher.exe, gamemd.exe and syringe.exe admin rights (rick click the file -> Properties -> Compatibility and its at the bottom). In future it is best not to install things in program files on modern windows because it has stupid protections.
I already give the three program above for administration permission, but I still got the error message. Plus, I try install again RR and yuri's revenge game in my desktop but not the program files, however, I still got error message and can't save the settings.
Then I dont know. This is not an issue I've heard of from anyone else. Maybe an anti-virus issue? Could try adding the redres folder to the exceptions list.
Each time when I play as Allies and choosing Soviet as enemy AI (wither easy, medium, or hard AI OR toggled Brutal AI), they did not build any War Palace or Revolutionary HQ on either End of All Nations or Unholy Alliance mode instead they just build only a Soviet Tech Center. Now I cannot access to the Soviet Stolen Tech since the Spy or Saboteur cannot infiltrate the Tech Center. Is anybody can fix this problem?
Even if its updated to 2.2.2 or playing the old version, it's still the same thing. When I play as Allies or Soviet against Enemy Allies, there is no problem since the Allied Science Lab can be infiltrated.
Okay what version of Ares does this have (I haven't played this mod before but I have to observe this Ares version first!)?

It wont let me play any of the campaign missions. It says unable to initialize ra2.csf, please reinstall red alert 2. Any ideas on how to fix this?

I really really love this mod, but the enemy AI is freaking crazy even easy AI. Especially playing on faster game speed(60fps). Could you please adjust enemy AI makes it easier or less aggressive? It's just too hard to play.
If the AI don't Cheat on Ori's (Money), then it gives me pleasure to play with such brutality :)
