can i launch it without genlauncher?
There were a lot of complaints about my old Java launcher (constantly the sames, often caused by banal human laziness to press a couple of extra buttons to provide admin rules or disable antivirus).
Now, iam dont see the need for it - GenLauncher is worked for most people, have regular updates and live community.
In boosty we have target: "installer without genlauncher". You can promote this, if you really want this.
although i find genlauncher incredibly useful,i do have one massive problem with it,it might be genlauncher itself or just windows10 being a massive ¨%$hole,basicaly sometimes genlauncher will consume a imense amount of memory to the point the pc will freeze or slow down considerably,last time my pc froze for more than 10 minutes and i was forced to shut it off manually,so everytime i want to download a new mod or update one there is a chance this happens,otherwise genlauncher works fien and i really love the new option to hide it while a mod is running,but i have a LOT of stress in the past due to this,i even stoped using it for a few months,this is a big problem for me as windows 10 always uses a certain percentage of memory so you see how it can become a big problem for me,i do suspect this might cease to be a problem once a upgrade but until then there are certain mod tools out there that have similar issues to genlauncher not to mention genlauncher itself so i might steer clear of them for a while.
Yes, GL had a problem with memory leaks at some point. It is better for you to report it directly to its author, tk. we have nothing to do with it (we just use the tool, because it is recognized by the community as more convenient).
I already have a bunch of other mods installed. How do you add them to Genlauncher? Do you have to download them again through Genlauncher?
The GenLauncher is a third party app.
