Wrath of the Norsemen is a modification of Medieval II: Total War: Kingdoms, set in the viking age. The aim is to create a mod that is both historical and enjoyable for anyone who has an interest in the early medieval era of history, or is just a little bit too fond of blood and big axes.

Description

Fátœkis-fölk consists of poor people; farmers, fishermen and traders (people from the "Carl" Class) who has been levied in to the viking host. Not bred for war, these men tend to be survival oriented, running away when true warriors would stay and fight. They care little for the well being of their lord and less for his personal power, but will gladly defend their land if it is required of them.
They are armed with whatever implements that could come in handy (large knives and axes), a small wooden shield, and a few javelins. They are tactically flexible, fast moving, and can hide easily, but they should not be relied on to hold a crucial position.
It can be useful to summon a great host of men, regardless of their skill and experience, and sometimes a breach must be filled regardless of how long it will hold. Understand though, that Fátœkis-fölk will be slain, and quickly, if committed to more fierce foemen. On the other hand, such bloodshed comes at a good price.

"At morning dawn we will collect the peasants, and count heads.
The troop will be small for the surrounding space; but they will fight for life, and the others for scanty booty. "
