Russian Infantry bring proven tactics and unmatched combat experience to every theater they operate in. Furthermore their ease of deployment and procurement costs makes them an overwhelming force on the battlefield. Pictured here are all the infantry available to the Russian faction.
A. Russian assault infantry are armed with Ak-74s and hand grenades, they can be very powerful in large numbers.
B. Russian heavy infantry too are armed with the Ak-74 assault rifle, but they also carry with them the legendary RPG-7, which they use to fire high explosive grenades. They are excellent at blunting enemy armor attacks and are also well suited for attacking enemy troop concentrations and fortifications.
C. & D. Russian infantry snipers and support infantry are armed with the Dragunov battle rifle and the PKM light machine gun respectively. They are cut out for one task and one task only: the annihilation of enemy infantry. Support infantry can lay down suppression fire while snipers can take out enemies at range, making them a deadly combination.
E. The Metis-M anti-tank missile system gives Russian forces an even more powerful bite against enemy vehicles. Its incredible range combined with its devastating power allows for an incredible offense and defense against any enemy armor.
F. GRU Spetsnaz troops are crack special forces troops that are capable of unleashing extreme devastation on all types of enemy targets, especially infantry. They are equipped with silenced rifles, pistols, rockets and grenade launchers allowing them to be excellent force-multipliers. They are immune to attrition and they are also cloacked which allows them to easily ambush and infiltrate behind enemy-lines.
G. GRU Spetsnaz snipers are are equipped with a OSV-96 anti-material rifle, which allows them to destroy enemy infantry at very long-ranges making them the best sniper available to the Russians. They too are cloacked and immune to attrition.
