World in Conflict is perhaps the most audacious project that has ever been embarked upon for Rise of Nations. It will implement real-world realism into Information Age warfare. This includes radical changes to graphics, units stats and all around game-play.

Russian Army infantry have as well been re-tweaked for the Beta. Their models, skins and animations have all been redone. Beta Russian troops now wear the Russian army's new digital camouflage. Pictured here are:

A. Assault Infantry are armed with AK-74s and they can throw frag grenades as a secondary attack; they are powerful when massed.

B. Heavy infantry too are armed with AK74s, but they are also equipped with tandem RPGs which allows them to effectively defend and attack against enemy armor. Tandem RPG's have better penetration than most other types of rockets making Russian heavy infantry particularly deadly.

C. & D. E. Support infantry, Grenadiers and Snipers are armed with PKP light machine guns, rifle-mounted GP30 Grenade launchers and Dragunov sniper rifles. They are particularly effective against all kinds of enemy infantry with their suppression capabilities. Grenadiers have a slight edge against vehicles but should be used to attack groups of enemies, support infantry can take on numerous enemy troops simultaneously and snipers can eliminate enemies at range.
