I have ported the Wolfenstein missions to DOOM II, creating what is essentially an improved and updated Wolfenstein. Each scenario is painstakingly recreated as a DOOM II WAD, complete with all the Wolfenstein textures, objects, sounds, and enemies. The result is a total conversion.

Description

Requires 3DGE 2.0.0 (or later). Weaponkick disabled. Levels have received an overhaul, cleaned up and repaired by GreyGhost. Status bar! Based largely on the design and layout of the original. Menu and intermission screens have been expanded and vastly improved. Damage delivered from player and enemy attacks is now much more accurate. Enemy health points should now be 100% correct including bosses. Ammo from items and weapons give same amount regardless of skill level. Score from kills and treasure with counter on the status bar. Sound effects only from official Wolf3D games and ports with only a few exceptions. CD audio music from the 3DO port of Wolfenstein 3D (with four exceptions). Correct endings for all six episodes, no more DOOM-ish text crawls. More creative and faithful ending to the Spear of Destiny chapter. Many of the bosses now "talk" before dying, like the original, and the victory animation has been improved. Thanks to CeeJay for this, and GreyGhost for the levels.

This release is more classic Wolfenstein, ie it lacks the following:

-Ambient or Dynamic level lighting.
-The HUD used in the WolfenDOOM version.
-The WolfenDOOM textures (for floors and ceilings).
-WAD with The OGG PC Rerecorded soundtrack that was in WolfenDOOM.
-WolfenDOOM sounds for doors, everything that has to do with the stats screen, and treasure pick-ups.
-Ambient sounds from WolfenDOOM.
-Footstep(s) sounds for enemies (from WolfenDOOM), makes it easier to hear where they are when you can't see them...
-The player having 199 ammo instead of 99 (like in WolfenDOOM).

As such this release is more for purists, who prefer having Mouselook/ducking/jumping, more customisation. But it would be nice if a definitive version was made that allows for everything the previous versions have had & more.
