Winter Warfare is a modification set during a fictional version of World War 2 were a new Ice Age has begun. The Battle of Britian fails and Operation Sealion is a sucsess, the Soviets are defeated at Stalingrad and Kursk, D-Day fails, Italy never surrendered and Japan invaded Hawaii. This mod tells the story after the main Allied Powers have fallen such as the United States, Britian and the Soviets, instead it focuses on the remaining allies as they fight in brutal winter weather aganist a huge Axis force.
Another great piano cover by Mike! This may be the theme for Winter Warfare!
A collage of WW2 photos and films in snowy theaters for a menu background would go great with this!
Agreed.
I would stare at that menu for hours.
+1
I just had a (difficult and unlikely) idea. If you've ever played Halo: Reach, you'd have noticed there are two images as the menu; one foreground image and one background image. They slowly move left and right, almost unnoticeable. You could have the image of a soldier throwing a grenade, photoshop it to only include the soldier and the ground he stands on, then get the image of a hill with an MG42 emplacement firing, do the same with that. Get them to slowly move right and left, record it, then do another set of images. Tanks and explosions. Planes and AA fire. Infantry and smoke decoys. Machine guns and attackers. And just get a collection of those sorts of things. If you need an example, I'm sure there's something on Youtube with the Halo: Reach menu.
Also, why not get the longer, original version? That's a lot more spine-tingling.
I'm pretty good at video editing I could make something close to that :) If its ok with the devs.
What about your own mod?
My mod is like 80% done, I just havent posted a lot of pictures.
And making a menu backround wont take a a lot of time off working on my mod.
I made a early version of it. Tell me what improvements it needs
Okay, the first image would have the soldiers and their hill photoshoped away from the other section (follow the fence and the smoke), the soldiers and the distant land would move left and right. SUBTLY. The distant area would have to be enlarged a little for that to happen though. Second image, follow the soldiers outline and crop the rest, then put some white blizzardy sky in.
Its not as easy as said, but i'll try my best. :)
Yeah I dont think I'll be able to make it that good.
Sorry :(
Then just still images and video clips that fade into one another and/or overlap.

The track I was thinking of. Much more creepy.
apart of the photos, it can have videos of gameplay recreating the photo. then another photo and another short video recreating that moment, etc
We don't ahve enough people who are in the same location to do that - you need (at the least) three people to do those re-enactments. One to record (no idea how people in BF2 machinimas do that), and two to act cooperatively. I'm in Australia. Magnus and Gordon are really the only ones close to one another.
And Im on Guam. Thousands of miles away from everyone
