Upgrading the technical code and the animation base for Tor M1 Medium SAM unit to provide defense from fire & forget Hellfire missiles (precision guided munitions or 'PGMs') and cruise missiles.
Tor M1 is now becoming the fastest responding short-range SAM to defeat incoming air-to-ground missiles to protect high-value assets from destruction.
Tor M1 and Pantsir S1 are basically becoming an extended ranged umbrella of Active Protection System (APS) coverage for armor players, while tank's built-in APS works as final and last resort to stop the missile.
The new meta game doctrine is to use the Tor M1 to protect high-value assets in the rear, such as the S-300 Heavy SAM and artillery players, while Pantsir S1 is pushed out toward front line to provide mobile defense coverage for armor players.
