(I'm posting here because it would be useless to make a thread myself^^and sorry if I don't even introduce myself but I don't think I'll post that much on this forum :x)
I've got myself WIC:C not so long ago and it bored me pretty fast (good thing it wasn't that expensive!) so I saw this mod for the game.

After reading the tutorials (I haven't finish all of them), I was wondering :

Is it true that nowadays, most aerian US fighters/aircraft have some links with the Aegis System, providing their missiles in Air defense against enemy missiles/aircrafts independently from the user of those American fighters. (given that they aren't in combat themselves) (like the cruisers's DCA and missiles and SAM units already does, like if it were a SAM unit linked to the Aegis system, but in the aerian space)

(to destroy enemy missiles with their own missiles, if the canon couldn't; use flares against some missiles or even give some more realtime information about the missiles, if it isn't a drone's job too)
Or even American aircraft with lasers to destroy incoming missiles. (as you told in the tutorials that aerian supremacy was needed in the mean of airfighters before the SAM units)

(I'm asking so maybe all that I'm saying is wrong!)

If it were to be true, will you try to use those in your mod or is the current ingame Aegis system enough to counter enemy missiles/airfighter/aircraft ? (given that some options would be render useless, because of mobility, cost, etc)

Still, this is a really good mod and I will have fun playing it, after finishing all the tutorials.

Well, Aegis isn't really applicable here, as that's Navy system.

However, in the mod, we do have Patriot system, which is land-equivalent version (just minus the 360 degrees coverage) that can provide both air and missile defense.

The Patriot complex in the mod will soon get an upgrade to use FLINT missile system, making it able to accurately destroy several aircraft/missile targets, etc.

those are very interesting looking patterns

although i favor the more vibrant looking ones during parades they mostly use.

also is that a ka-50? i thought they stopped using them

still, hows the performance of it when compared to the mi-28 and the apache?

That's a Ka-52, not Ka-50.

Regarding Ka-50, it has better maneuverability and stronger punch on 30mm cannon.

As for tank-hunting role, Ka-50's Vikhr-M complex is not at all effective compared to Hellfire. Vikhr's guidance (beamriding SACLOS via laser) makes it far less effective on engagement envelope compared to a Hellfire with semi-active laser homing seeker (or millimeter-wave active radar seeker).

we do have less of an issue with aa though (usa has less of capable shorad than soviets did in comparison).

also Ka 50 is indeed canceled, while Ka 52 is speading ahead (Ka 52 K variant for the navy Mistral based and such wings)

Mi 28 is going ahead for the army.

The electronics package for the Ka-52 is further ahead in testing (than that for Mi 28), right now i think there are a dosen of prototypes (of radar sets), maybe already on the helicopters. the sets consist of milimeter band radar (in nose) as the primary fire control set, L band sets (side mounted, act as missile warning and such) and (maybe) a top mounted set for search options.

also Hermes is in testing (been for a while now) and propably will go for the Ka 52K with kh38 and kh35 variants.
