To make good movies for WiC MW Mod, we already assume you are familiar with Fraps and WiC Movie Maker tool. If not, please use Google to learn about them and stop reading this. But to really make good action movies in MW Mod, you need to know a couple of tricks, as taught by Ranma from our modding team. First you need to learn how to use anhCheats to spawn units on demand. Because in-game purchased units are not always suitable for movie making (i.e. if you want to focus attention on one soldier, do you really want a full squad of infantry in your movie action scene?). Google for "site:massgate.net anhCheats" to learn more on how to use it. anhCheats is already included in the mod, so you do not have to download/install it, but you do need to read up on usage section. You can use anhCheats to spawn following units via in-game console. Some helpful unit names are below, for movie-creation purposes: F1_Marine - US rifleman -- single soldier -- US ARMY unit. Also when making a movie, try to zoom in and out of action as appropriate. To properly zoom in from first-person-shooter infantry man's point of view, use the following console command: cameralowfov NUMBER Where NUMBER is the field of view indexer. The default in-game camera FOV number is 83, so typing cameralowfov 83 returns back to normal FOV. Use a smaller number (i.e. cameralowfov 22) to showcase a detailed zoom into a specific action segment or to showcase a weapon system equipment in the movie. 22 to 32 is generally a good number for movie making details, while 22 is good for weapon showcase screenshots/movie scenes (i.e. soldier posing in front of a tank, etc) Last but not least: If you are making a movie scene where Heavy SAM is going to be engaging an enemy aircraft or missile target, you need to remember the following: The target that is about to be intercepted must ALWAYS be an ENEMY TEAM unit. Otherwise, interception will never occur. To make sure a unit you spawned with anhCheats is marked as ENEMY, press Control-Q to bring up GUI menu of anhCheats. Select the unit, and navigate the menu and you can go to Selected Unit -> Change Team -> and select Team Russia/USA as appropriate. Do not use Team Nato. You may also need to set the units on hold-fire when making movie, since they will begin firing and killing each other as soon as one of them is designated as enemy team. Edited by: blahdy |
