Long before the rise of Valyria, Westeros was divided into countless Petty Kingdoms. In the south, the Reach is consumed by fire as weak kings are set upon from all sides, and strong ones vie for their remains. In Dorne, the deserts run red with blood and in the north four kingdoms struggle for supremacy, even as they face invaders from all sides. As chaos descends upon the lands of Westeros it remains to be seen which Kingdoms shall forge dynasties to last a thousand years, and which will fade into history.
When I saw the update, I thought you had released a Download, thats very crual from you xD
Nice battle by the way ! :)
By the way, a few comments on the battle :
I really hope you will think about removing Pikemen from the game, you may ask me , WHY ?
Well first, they have nothing to do here. From what I read, during this early middle age era of Westeros, no one was using in armies. Cavalry was the main power of the battlefield. There were also WAY more swordmen/macemen/axemen.
In fact, the only House using pikes even currently are the Lannisters (elites pikemen only), lead by Kevan and the Stark, lead by Robb. The Reach houses are made around Knights and heavy infantry, halberdiers better than pikemen.
Well I hope its not a big deal to remove the pikemen, even if it would change how the battles are played. In any case, would be really nice and much more realistic. :) (less focusing on defense and battles would be less deadly and would end faster)
Giving only pikemen to certain faction means certain death in front of cavalry, even if you say they weren't in the universe, it's much more logical to add them however.
Spearmen should be enough, they are more than decent againt cavalry. 2 handed axemen too.
And im talking about removing them from the game completely ^^
Well having pikemen in-game is ultimately a question of personal preference, and I personally like them. "True" pikemen will only be available to Stormland, Westerland, and Reach factions as they have the population base, wealth, and military tradition to support such large and disciplined units.
As for who is using them right now, we've never gotten a good look at the infantry of the Reach and Stormlands thus far, but I'd be VERY surprised if they didn't have some sort of pikemen as well.
Either way, pikemen are pretty easy to beat with a combination of archers and flanking cavalry (I heavily nerfed them for 2.0), and they don't allow for sitzkreig strategies like in 1.0 as they'll still take heavy casualties in head to head fights and eventually break like they did above.
Hope this clears some things up :).
I understand your point of view, it will be ok it you "heavily nerfed" them :) I just find them a bit not lore accurate but maybe im wrong ! Anyway, good job ;) !
