A Dark Ages Total Conversion mod for CK2, set in Western Europe from 410 to 962.
What do people look for in a mod? Is it to provide more excitement; enhance the flavor; or possibly, mods were created so that one could solely conquer all of England as an Angle invader. Yea, I said it: mods were made solely to provide a contrast to this mod ... Any other mod you've ever played was just a predecessor, a precursor, a forerunner to this magnitude of a mod. Where do I begin?
Well, I'm certainly no wordsmith, but I decided that this mod definitely needed a review. The mod came out unexpectedly, so I was expecting a poorly-polished placeholder for the "greatest mod of the year!111", but I was certainly in for a surprise when I saw that glorious loading screen accompanied by beautiful-orchestrated Celtic-themed music.
As you can infer, the mod is set between the time period of 410 AD - 962 AD, a time period marked by the collapse of the Roman Empire and it's dwindling occupation and influence on the lands in Brittania. As the occupants of southern Brittania gain their dignity and independence, enemies from the North soon band together to make their voices heard. I'm definitely no historian, but the in-depth focus and interest put into this mod is clearly obvious.
Not only is this mod historically-attuned, but it has also implemented a wide range of custom events and flavorful traits to enhance your experience, something that is a favorite of mine. I was in for such a surprise as this mod was never hinted about, instead appearing out of the blue. The mod was so elegantly crafted, and I had never heard about it's debut until the other day. I could go on-and-on about the perfection of this mod, but it's not the same as having yourself play, so all I can say is: "Download it!"

Do you like slaughtering your Christian neighbors as a Germanic Angle? Go for it.

This mod is a excellent mix of retelling of Arthurian legends from The Warlord Chronicles, combined with history, also features improved game mechanics and artwork is simply awesome
It is the second best mod for CK2 out there outside of HIP. Amazing map, new traits, events tied to King Arthur, the Franks, Roman decline etc. A lot of dedication has been put into it and I definitely recommend it to any CK2 play out there.
