Q. How can I improve my FPS and avoid crashing?

A. Run the mod using Warband Script Enhancer 2 Forums.taleworlds.com

Q: How do I use guns? They don't work like native...

A: You prepare to shoot by equipping a gun and pressing RMB. This toggles aiming mode, you can then shoot by clicking LMB. (You do not have to hold down LMB to aim with guns in this mod).

To use a gun, you must have the correct ammo equipped, there is a text on guns that tells you what ammo they use.

Shift key while aiming opens ironsight/scope view. Using this view increases shooting accuracy (standing still and crouching also improves it).

Reload is E.
Crouch is Z.
Dodge is V (+ WASD).
Heal is H (needs medkit)
Sprint is Ctrl (+ WASD).

Q. How do I make my troops take/leave cover?

A. F4-F7 keys are used for the cover control system.

F4 if held down will place a marker on the map where the player is looking.
F5 will show options to choose what radius will activate from the player or marker.
F6 key is used to command troops to take cover in a radius from the player or marker.
F7 is used to make your troops leave cover.

Often some troops will automatically take cover nearby at the start of a battle, though it is a small distance. Troops who are in the hold-position order will ignore attempts to make them take cover until they are charging. Troops who are in cover (or moving to it) will ignore orders until made to leave it. Troops may leave cover if an enemy gets to melee range. Only troops with ranged weapons should take cover.

Q: How do I camp in the wasteland?

A: Unalike most mods, you cannot rest through the menu, instead you right click your party icon to open more options for actions, including camping.

You need wood for a campfire to take this action, which can be obtained through the woodcutting action from the same right-click menu. It needs an exe in your inventory and to be in a wooded area.

Resting in town will also replenish your energy levels.

Q. How do I recruit troops from villages?

A. You must join the village's faction to recruit faction-specific troops.

Generic villagers can sometimes still be recruited by talking to them while walking around the village itself. You can also recruit them from refugee parties on the map.

Mercenaries can be recruited in saloons as usual.

Q: I need money, what can I do?

A: If nothing else, you can always scavenge. Go to an empty part of the world, away from settlements, right click on, right click on your party and select the option to scavenge the area. As this forces your party to stay still, you also frequently encounter bandits doing this, which gives possibility to gain more profit by selling the loot from the fights.

You can invest in enterprises for stable income like in native, but these often have minimal profits, and you may need to increase relations to towns before doing so,

Robbery is also an option, see below.

Q: I can scavenge, what do?

A: In order to scavenge you must NOT be:

Starving
Dehydrated
Deadly tired

You must also have a minimum of 1 free space in inventory, and also be away from settlements, towns and villages.

Q. How does the Robbery system work?

A. There are three types of safe props in Acron. One contains the collected money of the town and its owner, the other two have the money of the merchants. Lord safes will always be found in the hall, the other 2 can be found in the town centre and/or shop (and sometimes in the saloon or hall).

You can initiate a robbery by damaging one of these safes or the destructible barred doors that sometimes protect them. Normally melee weapons will work better for this than ranged. Additionally starting combat with castle/prison guards through a dialog option also begins the process. Note that it’s possible to do a prison-break and robbery at the same time as they are basically the same system.

robbery system - safe

After you have broken the safe you will receive the money, and will lose relations with the town/lord/faction depending on the amount stolen. Knocking out the mayor or shopkeepers will lose relations further. These npcs will be unavailable until they have healed after a week or so.

You can go for more than one safe if you're feeling ambitious, but some guards will respawn between areas.

To escape you must use the ‘Leave Area’ function at the edge of town. During a prison break killing all the enemies will trigger this too. The game will then tell you your robbery stats like average take and biggest take. Successfully escaping can reward you with renown if the amount stolen is high enough. If you are captured the money will be confiscated and put in the hall safe.

An additional feature is that your weapons will not reset between areas during a robbery. For example, if you sneak in and knock out the prison guard you can grab his weapon and use it for the rest of the mission, even after entering/exiting areas.

If you escape you get to keep any grabbed items you’re carrying (without losing your original gear). Though for technical reasons this does not include duplicates of your original gear.

Q: How can I fish?

A: Fishing requires fishing equipment (bought in shops), and you must also be close to a body of water, river, lake or sea. The chance of catching fish is based on Luck and Scavenge skills.
