Warrior Kings Launcher adds more functionality and customizability to both Warrior Kings Remastered and Battles!

Splash Screen Layout

So far, features shall include:

- Modding and Custom Map Capability

Able to customize and enhance the game using mods. Three types of mods will be able to be added - maps, shaders and mods. I hope to make extensive tools for modding, a mod formatter, map editor and game archive browser.

- Profile and Saves Editing

This means you change the name of your profile, which maps you have unlocked and also cheat - but of course you wouldn't do that...

- Game (+ Launcher) Options

You will be able to change the resolution of the game above the normal 1400x1050 up to full HD and beyond, change all normal graphic and sound settings, multiplayer settings and some other more technical items.

- Game Archive Browser

You will be able to freely browse the game archive and extract files from it - hopefully i'll find a way to recompile the archive so changes can be made ;)

The mod will officially support Windows XP and 7.

Hope everyone finds this mod useful!

Development News

So what am I up to? Well today I finally got a fully working Mac Wrapper for Warrior Kings Battles - just need to add some finishing touches then I will release it. Hopefully that will get some mac users (including me :P) playing. I would post a video but for some reason QuickTIme doesn't record the games sound!

And my mod...well that's not going anywhere. It's almost impossible to mod Warrior Kings! So I'm rethinking the whole idea of the launcher. It will now just have a save game manager, game options (higher resolutions/population limit), a shoutbox, will tunnel all game traffic (meaning no more hamachi - servers will just 'come up'), will show any news/championship information and any more ideas that come to my mind will be added in. I'll put up some pics/a demo up at some point. Sadly it won't include any mods/maps for the game unless I/someone can figure out a way to do it.

Community News

The Warrior Kings Community is coming along great and now has over 70 members and has many regular matches online.

We are currently having a online championship/tournament! Unfortunately it is too late to enter (if you haven't already) but you should still come and have a look - you will know who to fear when you play online.

Website News

Wooho! Our own website and forum :) Sure there is nothing on it at the moment (and signups are disabled) but it's definitely something to keep a eye on. You can have a sneak peek at

Hello everyone,
I share a project to archive manager for bcp format. I leave aside for the moment. You will find an executable and sources here:

It may be necessary to install this pakage:

First, thanks for doing this tedious work.
First test results:
1. Program crashes upon extracting the bcp files (tested data and patch 1.1)
2. Most files are either garbled or cannot be opened with the respective program (e.g. Targa, some do open though)
3. the files you identify do not correspond to the real file contents - e.g. file "2 Player Raised Centre.lvl" is in reality one of the shaders, as a quick glance at the contents reveals

All the best

Don't know if it helps you. I've made a scenario editor a very long time ago (for WK Battles).
It worked by starting a singleplayer game, then building the starting fortresses for each player. After that the following steps had to be taken:
- saving the game with a name (e.g. Example.sav)
- then repeating the following steps for all players:
- - open file Example.sav
- - delete all buildings but those for the current player
- - save the file as Example_Px.sav (where x is the player number)

Open the WK Editor, click load, and select the game Example.sav
change the values all you like
click create and save your game
distribute the save game to all players
the playernames you enter in the editor must match the profile names of the players

You can use the source code all you want (it's not very well written, but no complete mess either), as long as you give credit by including the release.txt or copying the creator message into your readme.

Aw cool. I've always thought about making one myself. The app itself even looks offical. Can you remember where you got the font from as this is the one thing I can't find? I've uploaded it as-is for now onto the forums and included the RealeaseNotes.txt to credit you. Thanks coming up with this :)

Posted on the Steam community, if the Font is not in the sources, I no longer have it. It is not an official WK font, but a free font that is very similar.
