A Warhammer 40k mod brought to you by NoMz Entertainment and two of the Co-Creators of "Warhammer 40k: There is only War" mod. The mod is going to be an FPS shooter that takes players into either a Imperial Guardsmen, or a Eldar Warrior perspective of the 40k universe. With a variety of classes, missions, vehicles, and maps, players will battle over Madien Worlds, Eldar Craftworlds, Imperial Trenches, any other map deemed nessecary. As with the "There is Only War" mod, we will start with two races of the 40k universe, and then we will continue to update and go from there, eventually adding every race of the 40k universe into the mod. However, players will be playing the mod "Star Wars Battlefront 2" style, with Control points, and even secondary missions that can reward teams in a battle. Progress is coming along well, and we have several people assisting us in this mod. See Description for all modders. Hope to have a beta out soon!
The Imperial Guard Main Artillery. This bad boy will be in game, however, it will only be staitionary so that way we don't have some crazy redneck who happens to love this kind of firepower, running around the map spawncamping the living crap out of Eldar bases. This Artillery Gun will only be located in the IG home base.
It /SHOULD/ be able to move, heres the thing- last i checked, the barrel can't point straight ahead-- it always points reasonably up, so the tank become useless at close to even medium-far range. (except maybe running over people, but its slow and clumsy)
yea, but we are using it as is a defencive weapon for the MainImperial Guard Camp, or Spawnpoint. It's stationary because we don't want it running all over the place being a total spawncamping bastard. With the gun staitionary, and not mobile, we can use it as a defence weapon. However, the gun can shoot to about almost the middle of the maps, so it still is quite an excellent weapon. As for the higher placed barrel, we have that all in mind, don't worry, both for map, looks, and efficeny.
Obvious, what are the stationary weapons of the Imperial Guard?
Is better to find out, than to limitate movement, based on a balance decision.
It's really hard to explain why exactely the Basilisk, (which is the only staitionary gun for IG), isn't going to be a moving vehicle on the map. However, once we do get the model in game, we can show you guys via youtube. Like I said, it is located in the Guard Main Complex/ Base, and it's to help the Guard with defending the base (which is the only Vehicle Spawn in the game for IG, Eldar is likewise) and to provide support to the advancing Guard. Having Artillery duels would be cool, but a person could become a massive killer without leaving his homebase. With one of the most powerful guns in the game staitionary and not mobile, it will improve gameplay, not to mention fairness, tenfold. If you still don't understand, all I can say is be paitent and wait for in-game vids to come out, then we can show you exactely why the Basilisk isn't moving around. The most important thing why, is beacuse of the map, however, this map isn't done yet, so I can't even show a preview why it isn't mobile. Any other staitionary weapons will be in bunkers and the like, like in other games. And don't worry Eldar players, you aren't being left out of the equation, you guys will have your own homebase Artillery gun and bunckers and such. Just for the map, and you will see what I mean.
