This mod actually started sometime 2005 as an idea in the mind of the someone you all mostly know as The Hunter alto the idea never gotten any form until early 2006 were I made the very first model for the mod and started working on organizing the mod and planning things by myself. The mod itself is based of an old PC strategy game known as WarGames which was made by a game studio which was formerly known as Interactive Studios. Alto the game was absolutely amazing and very ahead of it's time when it was released it never got the attention which it deserved (or at least not in my opinion) as many features of the game were seen in other RTS games way later and some I have yet to see in other RTS games. The game. The game itself is about the N.O.R.A.D. (North American Aerospace Defense Command) and the W.O.P.R. (War Operations Plan Response). The N.O.R.A.D. represents the human side of the game which must protect humanity from total annihilation by the W.O.P.R....
It's been a while since the last update mostly because we where little to busy with some other things, SW 0.95 for example, but I would like to say that we have finished all of the N.O.R.A.D. units that where planed for the first beta release and we have started to work on the W.O.P.R. units. Now
It's been a while since the last update mostly because we where little to busy with some other things, SW 0.95 for example, but I would like to say that we have finished all of the N.O.R.A.D. units that where planed for the first beta release and we have started to work on the W.O.P.R. units.
Now lets get to the goodies we have for you today.
First two units are the Cargo Chopper and the M*A*S*H, these heavy lift helicopters wont be buildable but instead they are used to bring in tanks and other vehicles you order at the Helipad and Advanced Helipad. M*A*S*H (Mobile Army Surgical Hospital) while it is both very expensive and highly vulnerable to attack M*A*S*H provides you with the ability to heal your infantry without the need to get them back to Cloning Facility, M*A*S*H can heal and transport up to 6 wounded troopers at the same time.
and now the last two buildings we haven't shown to you Cloning Facility and the Command Center. Cloning Facility is place where you will train err. I mean clone all your infantry and Command center is base to all hacking operations and is also required in order to build more advanced units and buildings.
Since 2002 we have explored, played and enjoyed mods of all shapes and sizes just like WarGames Zero:Hour. We love games like C&C Generals: Zero Hour that have opened themselves up to modding. Because of communities like Workshop, Nexus, Curse, RTSL, GameBanana and Mod DB, more games support modding today than ever before.
Let's celebrate modding
As mods play a bigger role in the future of gaming, we believe it is important to recognize the effort the teams behind the work put in, giving us countless hours of enjoyment while asking nothing in return. We have the power to change our games and that needs to be celebrated to ensure it remains a big part of PC gaming's future.
It all started
In 2015, when the paid modding dispute left many gamers and modders worried about the direction the industry is headed. Things have since settled down, but we believe it is important to continue this small tradition to show we are not alone in our love for mods, and the open platforms that embrace them.
Mod Appreciation Week
Nothing is more motivating than knowing something you've built is being enjoyed by others. So this week if there is a mod you love on Mod DB (or anywhere else), make the effort to shout out to them, mention and link their mod in a tweet, blog, forum or facebook post with the hashtag #modlove2016 (or click the icons above for a pre-built post).
