Unreal Tournament Community SDK is an open source engine fork of the Unreal Engine 1.x with a modern development framework for Unreal Tournament. A thousand delays later we hit rock bottom and infinite possibilites at the same time with this community-propelled engine fork for one of the greatest 3D games of all time. We will never forget nor forgive what Epic Games did on the 14th December 2022.

Description

Here you see a Brute with some Overlayer stuff:
- Glowing Eyes: they also blink randomly to
simulate Eye closing
- Environment Map: small shiny reflect textures,
better visible in brighter scenes
- Emboss Bump Map : at first this screeny
relating to bump maps doesn't look that
special, but when you look at Creature Overlayer
Example 1b then you'll see that (for example)
the area surrounded by the red circle has some
"better" lighting... this is also done
with simple overlayers:
- An emboss bump map is created from the source
skin
- overlayed
- setting up light intensity
- style is translucent
While the style is translucent the dark
grey/black parts of the emboss bump map
doesn't "react" with light but the
brighter parts do, as meshes do when they're
brighter then black, thus the brighter parts seem
to be shiny or more "upper" while the
grey/black parts seem to be more
"deeper", it's no real bump or
normal map but it enhances the pure mesh lighting
a bit..
