This Is Not My Work. Credits Go to HideInLight for figuring this out, and ToCA EDIT for creating the xbox controller EMU.
This Mod/code gives you the ability to unlock the splitscreen code left in the game from the PS3 release. To play this you need a controller (doesn't have to be Xbox 360). I am explaining how to do this so as to help advance this little mod (If you can please make it a mutator), as well as to bring it to a wider audience.
By default you are Player0
So if you want to add more players without messing up the controls or crashing the game type these into console (tab default).
DebugCreatePlayer 1
DebugCreatePlayer 2
DebugCreatePlayer 3
If you want to remove a player do this:
DebugRemovePlayer 1
DebugRemovePlayer 2
DebugRemovePlayer 3
depending on which player you want to remove(never remove or add player0)
Use "SSSwapcontrollers" to switch the player controlled by player 1. this is useful for testing out the splitscreen.
Now to set up your controllers: if you have an xbox 360 controller follow this tutorial Pcsplitscreen.freehostia.com
If you do not have a 360 controller, download the Emulater from this website Tocaedit.com
go into the "xbox360cemu.ini" file in the "xboxcontrolleremu" file that you download from tocaedit, and set up the buttons as you want them to be set.
If you only have 1 controller then set index to -1
"[PAD1]
Index=0 ----> Index=-1"
then scroll down and set pad 2 index to 1
this should make your one controller bind to player 2.
copy xinput1_3.dll, xbox360cemu.ini and dinput8.dll into your game directory. start the game, debugcreateplayer 1 and you should be able to play splitscreen.
This should also work in all UT3 mods, you just have to toggle the input.cfg file to suit the button set up
Make sure your screen percentage is set to 100% or it will appear blank.
If i have left anything out (or if you have figured more out) please let me know.
ENJOY
Ps. There Is a similar code/hack for Left 4 Dead which can be found here Moddb.com

I found this on another website which said for the 360 controller to work it had to be connected to the pc as joypad 2
Hi there. I've done exactly like the guide says. I've managed to create a second player, but the thing is that I can't control him at all with the my gamepad. Do I need to make the controls in key binds before I create it ? If so... there is a problem; the game does not recognise any buttons.
umm nvm I found a way but still I have another problem. My pads right stick which is the aiming one, is the trouble. I can look left and right with it, but its impossible to look up and down. Here are the lines which bother me with the xbox360 emulator:
Right Analog X=6 #axis index; use - to invert; precede with 's' for a slider eg; s-1; 7 to disable
Right Analog Y=3 #axis index; use - to invert; precede with 's' for a slider eg; s-1; 7 to disable
I can't find a correct number for Y which is the vertical axis. Can anyone help me?
Maybe I got the location wrong. As far as I know. Theres 2 UT files in the my computer. Which exact location am I suppose to save the emulator?
in the directory that is not in "my documents/my games"
and I think, (cant remember properly) you save it in the binaries folder.
hope this helps. otherwise you might need 2 controllers. are you running vista or xp, because this works on my xp
Its Windows 7. I'm thinking that it may not work on windows 7 yet. Anyways thanks for the all the efforts. I'm away from my computer now. Will let ya know if it works. Thanks =D
Im really having an annoying problem. I've done EXACTLY as what the thread tells me to do. But i'm having both my mouse/keyboard and my controller controlling both a single character. Care to help anyone? Would be delighted.
have you set the index of pad 1 to -1 and pad 2 to 1 in the tocaedit xbox360cemu.ini ? if you have then I am not sure, Maybe your controller is incompatible.
or try this Wingmanteam.com
I havent but it might help
sorry
Yeah I've already set the index. Thanks for trying tho. =/
I found a fix your problem yes999hk today while aving a look at the forums. You need to make sure that the screen percenyage is set to 100%
