Installation :

Install the Unreal 227i patch from OldUnreal.com if you haven't already done so.

Extract the .zip contents into your Unreal directory. Cut and paste the files into
their proper Unreal folders. Assuming your Unreal installation is in your C:\ drive:

.unr goes into C:\Unreal\Maps
.utx goes into C:\Unreal\Textures
.umx goes into C:\Unreal\Music
.usm goes into C:\Unreal\Meshes
.uax goes into C:\Unreal\Sounds
.u goes into C:\Unreal\System
.int goes into C:\Unreal\System
.ini goes into C:\Unreal\System

There are several ways to start a new game:
1. When using the classic Unreal menu, go to Game, then select New Game, then select Resurgence.
2. When using the Unreal Gold menu, open the Game menu, select New, select Resurgence from the Campaign list, then press OK.
3. Either open the Unreal console by pressing the tilde button (`) or press Tab. Type "open ResurgenceIntro" without quotes and press enter.

To view the Flyby, open the Unreal console by pressing the tilde button (`) or press Tab. Type "open ResurgenceFlyby" without quotes and press enter.

Resurgence includes a custom HUD, and by default it uses a larger one.
To use the regular (Unreal-sized) HUD:
Open Resurgence.ini in your Unreal's System folder with a text editor. Set bUseLargeIcons and bUseHDIcons to False.
To use the larger (double-sized) HUD:
Open Resurgence.ini in your Unreal's System folder with a text editor. Set bUseLargeIcons to True and bUseHDIcons to False.
To use the largest (HD) HUD:
Open Resurgence.ini in your Unreal's System folder with a text editor. Set bUseLargeIcons to False and bUseHDIcons to True.
It also has the option of a larger Translator, which can be used by setting bUseLargeTranslator to True.

Unreal: Resurgence
Synopsis:
It is approximately 22 years after the Skaarj Empire's humiliating defeat at the hands of humanity in the 7 Day Siege. The Empire has been struggling to maintain their grip on Na Pali ever since, as human and alien mercenaries alike gleefully tear away at the rest of the Empire's resources.

After the deaths of all personel situated near a string of Nali temples dedicated to the god Ehactora, the Skaarj high command had enough. The Queen's Blade, a large cruiser filled with experimental weaponry and elite soldiers, was dispatched to Na Pali in order for the Skaarj to reclaim that section of space. However, a mercenary attack forced the ship into Vandora's Eye, a massive, ancient, and seemingly impenetreble storm that the Nali have long attributed to their god of lightning.

Command assumed the worst. Attempts to reestablish contact failed; signals were able to penetrate the storm, but nothing could get out - until today. The ship's crew was, for a few minutes, able to signal command for help.
To say the least, their screams suggest that the locals are not particularly friendly. As part of an elite team, you have been tasked with finding the ship and recovering the crew.

Known issues:
-------------------------
General Issues:
-There are likely BSP and performance issues in certain areas.
-Maps are likely missing some Translator messages that were planned.
-The Nali miners aren't afraid of the player and don't play any sound during their mining animation.
-Weapon balance may or may not be good.
-Difficulty probably needs to be balanced.
-Cooperative play is not fully supported and not recommended for dedicated servers.

Map-specific issues:
ResurgenceOne:
-Saving in ResurgenceOne crashes the game. As it's a short map, it's completely safe (unless you find a particular secret), so simply don't save the game until reaching ResurgenceTwo.

ResurgenceTwo:
-Loading a game and then looking at the Vandora statue might crash the game (maybe skeletal meshes don't work well as decorations).

ResurgenceTwoB:
-There might be a problem that causes a Mercenary to spawn when it shouldn't.
-This map is the least polished of the bunch and needs more decorations and translator messages as well as proper balancing.

ResurgenceThree:
-The destroyable vents have finicky collision.
