Unreal Demolition is being designed to showcase some of the most exciting vehicle combat available. The game can be described as something as simple as just driving around. However, the modes it covers make it much more than that. The game features some of your favorite vehicles from Unreal Tournament 3, as well as others you've never seen before. You’ll see everything from hectic demolition derby style events, to deathmatch in vehicles, to vehicle soccer, sumo wrestling, and more. Happy demolition!

For those of you watching the mod, here's a small update on progress since the last release.

Sumo
Sumo now takes place in a round-based format.  For each round, all players have one life, with the final remaining player winning the round.  The game has two end condition options:

  • Goal Score - Number of rounds needed to win
  • Unlimited Score - The player with the most rounds won when time runs out win

Stunt
Stunt also now takes place in a round based format.  Each round consists of a 60 second blitz to gain the most points.  However, there is a twist.  If you lose your life, you're out for the rest of the round.  This can also be used to your advantage if you take out your opponents early on.  The game has two end conditions:

  • Goal Score - Number of rounds needed to win
  • Unlimited Score - Rounds determine minutes - IE: 15 minutes = 15 rounds.  Player with the most rounds at the end wins.

UI Improvements
I've also been working a bunch on the UI.  All modes now show the proper gametype name at the top of the screen.  Along with that, all scoreboards now show relevant information.  Classic shows points and kills.  Sumo shows rounds and kills.  Stunt shows rounds won and points in the current round.  Demoball shows goals and points.  These scoreboards are all appropriately sorted to show who is in the lead based on the rule set of the gametype.  This also applies to the HUD position and distance from leader.  These are based on the sorting of the scoreboard, as well as the appropriate win condition for distance.

I have a few other things to do, such as new menus, controls integrated into the layout selection, and maybe another map or two, but the improvements from above will be making their way into a patch coming soon.
