Hey everyone!
There has been some progress lately and our sci-fi Source Engine game, Underground to Escape is back on tracks! Basically, it will be half puzzle-game, half shooter, with what we think will be quite a unique plot and storyline.

I hope this mod doesn't die, this is one of the mods i am actually looking forward to.
Don't worry, the mod is not dead. It's just taking us a really long time as we are students and a very small team. But it will be released eventually. There will be updates to help you wait :)

If I may, just what kind of gameplay might the mod have?
Is it kind of like a backwards Half - Life 2, where it's mostly a puzzle game punctuated by combat sequences? That would be a neat idea.
A suggestion: What if the player has a past that is learned through the game? You state that it includes philosophical implications, so does that mean that as the player you venture into your character's head?

Indeed, the mod will be some kind of a backwards Half-Life 2. We're trying as hard as we can to give the mod a unique genre, by working on a unique gameplay, background story, plot etc. Basically, it will be an Action/adventure/puzzle game with a mixture of Sci-Fi, horror and comedy. Yes, you will get to learn more about the player through the mod but we aren't willing to say more about it at this stage of development. As for the philosophical implications, well, it's very complicated to explain. News are coming by the end of the month and hopefully with a teaser. That should explain a lot of things.

Sounds cool to me, as Outlanderz stated it looks interesting. Not many mods focus on philosophical implications such as this one, but when they do I enjoy them.
