The ECHO is the pinnacle of re-engineered Wrath remote systems technology. Based off similar Wrath specimens, the system creates remote energy drones capable of autonomous defense and attack. The drones are capable of sustaining their energy fields until they are overloaded by enemy attacks. Each drone is capable of unlimited light plasma based attacks.
The Echo Controller itself acts as a man-portable deploy and control platform. The controller uses an internal battery that redistributes power into the deployment module. When fired in primary mode, the deployment module creates a new ECHO drone if it has sufficient power. The secondary module links the controller to all nearby ECHO units. The AI modules on the drones is rudimentary, but an operator can toggle ECHO units between autonomous attack mode and close range defense.
The ECHO Controller operator gains experience when the drones successfully launch attacks; The operator instantly can check the status(health & orders) of any drones through his HUD; The ECHO controller can be used to control any other autonomous ECHO drones in the field (such as those created through the ECHO Storm special ability).
Upgrades are available to experienced users:
At level 1, the rate of fire of each drone is increased.
At level 2, the max power of the battery is increased, allowing more remote drones to be created.
At level 3, the drones are modified to carry extra energy; when a drone is destroyed, the energy is released in a self-destructive explosion.
At level 4, the battery is upgraded to double the original capacity.
At level 5, the damage of each plasma attack fired is increased.
At level 6, a second layer of shielding is added to each drone created, increasing durability.
