Description

Advancements in remote robotic technology, advanced AI and lightweight polymers has allowed the creation of man-portable area-denial systems for use by the UEM. The most advanced model is the Automatic Sentry Gun designed for the UETF.

The weapon is a heavily modified Heavy Automatic Weapon that can be used by the operator in primary mode as a hand-held weapon or deployed as a stationary remote turret in secondary mode. The system uses a large box magazine that feeds the weapon in both primary and secondary mode. The remote turret will fire at nearby enemies until the ammunition in the magazine is depleted; reloading requires the operator to manually change the magazine. The remote turret can also be disabled by absorbing enough damage, which requires an operator to recover, repair and re-deploy the turret.

Upgrades are available to experienced users:
At level 1, the magazine capacity is increased (for both the primary and secondary modes)
At level 2, the remote turret is upgraded with a point-defense-beam that will destroy nearby projectiles.
At level 3, the remote turret is upgraded with a rocket pack that will fire dumb armor piercing rockets at targets.
At level 4, the sights are improved, increasing the accuracy of the primary fire mode.
At level 5, the rocket pack is upgraded to fire two rockets simultaneously.
At level 6, the ammunition of the weapon is upgraded to hollow point rounds, increasing the damage for both fire modes.
