What was Tumultus? Tumultus Deathmatch began as an experiment, with the sole aim of producing a comminity made mod. The story was set and anyone could produce anything and learn new things as they went along. This was all well and good, and it almost succeeded too. What is Tumultus? The premise is the same, most of the weapons are the same, with a few new surprises ;) The team has shrunk to a few dedicated members working on this mod alone, and everything is getting an overhaul.

So much for weekly updates :P Rest assured however that we have been working really hard on the mod, I just feel its kind of pointless to make a big news post everytime we complete a weapon, rather its better to save such news posts for significant developments, and here is such a one! So much for weekly updates :P Rest assured however that we have been working really hard on the mod, I just feel its kind of pointless to make a big news post everytime we complete a weapon, rather its better to save such news posts for significant developments, and here is such a one! We finally have a new website for the mod, unlike the placeholder that was before, we have a domain name and the layout is a lot better, theres new media up there that isn't on the moddb profile yet, and more importantly, we'll be able to bring you news a lot more often on the website itself instead of spamming moddb.

Progress wise a lot has been done on the mod, We've picked the final weapons that will make it into the first release, fixed a lot of bugs, and code wise were around 80-90% complete. Models have been getting finished, I've been working hard getting the animations to look better, and we've got a couple of skinners working on making these guns look the way they should. Maps are also in the works, the first one should be fully completed any day now with another couple close behind. And probably the most important update is that we decided we should replace the player models in the first version, so they too are also in the works.

So come check out the new site, leave comments on our moddb profile and generally help spur us on to get this released as soon as humanly possible :D and I'll leave you with a humourous picture taken from playtesting.
