What was Tumultus? Tumultus Deathmatch began as an experiment, with the sole aim of producing a comminity made mod. The story was set and anyone could produce anything and learn new things as they went along. This was all well and good, and it almost succeeded too. What is Tumultus? The premise is the same, most of the weapons are the same, with a few new surprises ;) The team has shrunk to a few dedicated members working on this mod alone, and everything is getting an overhaul.

Well, it's been a busy week or so, the influx of new people to our forums since the announcement of looking for beta testers was nice, our forums now look used :) I've picked around 20 for the first beta, which i'm hoping will be ready at the start of next week, jag and I will be sitting

Well, it's been a busy week or so, the influx of new people to our forums since the announcement of looking for beta testers was nice, our forums now look used :) I've picked around 20 for the first beta, which i'm hoping will be ready at the start of next week, jag and I will be sitting down over the weekend to do a last few bits of coding modelling etc etc.

Since I finished up all the weapon animations, I've been a bit bored, unable to motivate myself to get a bunch of prop models made, I decided to try my hand at mapping again, I'm pretty pleased with the results so far, particularly the hallway and Docking bay, though neither is 100% complete, you can have a quick peek ;)

I've also got a screenie of a map Henko_waratenko on of our mappers has been working on, most of the textures in his map are custom ones he made himself, and most of the textures in mine are also from the texture pack he's made.

We've also had kind offers of dedicated test servers offered to us. So i'd like to take the opportunity to thank those people that have offered, the following trailer was shot on my map on one of the dedicated servers, please bear in mind its still a WIP but i'm very pleased with the way the trailer came out, I think it shows off the gameplay quite nicely.
