This mod is a “Revival”, that is, a continuation of the original Trek Wars mod made by SMG Modding team. The “original” Revival team (led by Kavok) added factions such as the Klingons, Romulans and Dominion as opposed to the SMG Modding Team that had only added the Federation. Now, a new team, led by Imperial aim to continue these teams’ great work by refining their work and adding brand new content. Our progress has been slow, but we have been working on a new release that will add a lot of new content, and with the help of new team members, our team is producing more content than ever before!

How were you able to implement this Kavok? I didn't think Empire at War would have this mechanic.

Perhaps a short video of the feature in progress would shed some light on how the team was able to accomplish this? I agree with the Emperor it's nothing I have seen before from any mods that I have played, but still really amazing.

Essentially the ability uses the deploy/undeploy animation associated with the "Lock-S-Foils" ability from the X-Wing. The animation I created visually split the Prometheus into its three modules, all having a separate mesh each. I then gave it an increased fire rate buff.

I used this same technique with the Galaxy Class Saucer Separation.

When the ships separate will they attack one ship in a group or will each section be controllable individually? I can see some pretty interesting tactical advantages depending.

They attack in a group, the ship still remains as one "unit" so to speak, but all the hardpoints, damage particle locations etc move with the model when the MVAM split animation engages. Same with the Galaxy class too.
