I am proud to announce the winner of our voice contest:
Shivaxi – from unrealsp.org!
We have chosen him because he has the most fitting voice!
In addition to that here are some fresh screens, at the moment we are working on the last maps, searching bugs and putting pickups and enemies into the levels…next month you will find a download link for part 1 in the update. I have to stop here – there is still much to do.
Nice. This looks more like crysis then ut3.
it looks great, don't get me wrong.. but i'm not sure why you would think it looks more like crysis. unreal has such a distinctive look.. with few exceptions (mirrors edge, airborne)
Mirrors edge used a different rendering system which isn't in the Unreal 3 Engine.
But I agree, U3E has such a distinctive look. One being that it doesn't render/cook ambient occlusion or the bouncing of light correctly. Which is hard to do in an engine. Crysis can do it in realtime, and the Source engine can do it by cooking it into the level.
Mirrors edge main dif is the lighting engine its using (Berserk engine or something?) which IMO is quite a bit better then UE3 default, but really they both can have their own purpose.
crysis? look at the fire!! that is sooo ut3
Crysis fire only looks good when using DX10 for particle rendering :P UE3 fire looks like what they make it to, considering it can be customized to hell.
at first glance, it does almost look like that cry engine 3 demo.
very impressive
very nice
Very impressive visuals, good use of the UT3 engine :]
