Total Chaos is a total conversion mod for Doom 2 that runs on the GZDoom source port. The mod is a survival horror set on a remote island known as Fort Oasis. The island was once run by a community of coal miners which one day suddenly disappeared, leaving behind the abandoned concrete jungle to waste away. Something, clearly, has gone very wrong with this place. Upon your arrival at Fort Oasis, you receive a strange radio transmission. Someone wants to be found.
Retro Edition, has reduced texture resolutions and poly-counts for improved performance. Save files from other versions of Total Chaos are not compatible.
It is incredible that no one is talking about how good this looks (specially boomers like myself). After finishing some new boomer shooters (some of them with low poly counts made on porpouse) made me come again to TC but try this version instead, and WOW. It looks incredible. The "PSX" vibes hit me hard on the nostalgia.
Thanks for TC and THANKS for this Retro version. I hope peole how played the Original try this one!
Agreed! I still can't believe this is a modified Doom engine!!!???
Total Chaos is brilliant with melee action, inventory, looting, difficult monster slaying and survival.
I played it for quite a white until I got stuck in an area. I will have to play again as its a lot of fun!
Even runs in Linux using GZDoom

Greetings! Not sure if this is the right place to post something like this...
I seem to have stumbled onto a (presumable) bug. After/During the first boss fight, I am unable to damage the cracked wall in any way. Furthermore, there appears to be a black void instead of a corridor behind it.
I don't think I've missed any of the previous secrets, too.
There is a dynamite stick earlier in the map, hidden in the area with all the spiders and tongue monsters. You need to blow it up with a dynamite stick, no other weapons do damage to it.
HOW DID I NOT NOTICE WHEN THIS CAME OUT
