Total Chaos is a total conversion mod for Doom 2 that runs on the GZDoom source port. The mod is a survival horror set on a remote island known as Fort Oasis. The island was once run by a community of coal miners which one day suddenly disappeared, leaving behind the abandoned concrete jungle to waste away. Something, clearly, has gone very wrong with this place. Upon your arrival at Fort Oasis, you receive a strange radio transmission. Someone wants to be found.
Description
Expansion pack for Total Chaos, containing lots of content cut from the original release of the mod. Does not require 1.0 or DOOM2.WAD to play. This latest patch fixes a few log spam errors.

Hi I'm having an issue which is almost game breaking. The inventory lags for me. A LOT. So much so that the mouse clicks don't register and I can't move items around because the cursor ends up on the other end of the screen. Any help?
Can you please make a Linux version of this?
Maybe this will work: open archive, go to gamedata folder, extract the .pk3 files and run them with GZDoom and some doom2.wad. I don't know wich of them are necessary but with totalchaos.pk3 it works. Edit the gzdoom.ini accordingly.
Or there is a flatpak for Total Chaos or run the exe with Wine (not tested).

I would like to know if this mod supports the use of joysticks? Even tho it's clearly a game made for k&m, I like to sit on my couch to play more comfortably. Thanks in advance and congrats on this.
Should be able to configure it inside the options menu, although I haven't tried it myself so I don't have any solid advice I'm afraid.

You get a code when finishing the game, 9110.
You gotta enter this code in the door panel down the left pipe hallway at the start of the game.

Hi, sorry, I didn't have this issue before, but for some reason the game's flickering all over? Gonna try to get the older version, just reporting, great work on this btw! Never played the full version, can't wait to see what's ahead!
im also getting intense flickering on certain sprites like bushes, and most other objects that should be 3d are flat, were you using opengl accelerated as the renderer?
I figured it out, cause of hedon, i used to play it on nvidia and just started it again after chapter 2 and had flat boxes when it was supposed to be 3D. However in Hedon it has a vulkan option on display. There isn't here, so i thought ''Maybe new versions of gzdoom has vulkan and total chaos didn't catch up''.
So what you do is you get a new vers of gzdoom and drop it on gamedata and overwrite. Now the options menu gets fucky, but just the options, go there, choose vulkan, and ta-dah! Works perfectly!

I've done what you said, but whenever I try to open the game, I get "Unable to find newconsolefont.hex in E:/Games/test/gamedata/gzdoom.pk3".

There is one bug that makes all textures stay in 2D(not load properly) in the beginning, it also makes almost every moving object very shaky...

Quick question whenevr i try to launch its says that either the GZDoom.exe or INI file is missing. Did i download it wrong or something?
I have a problem where almost every surface tends to flash and glitch a lot. I already tried downloading the newest GZDoom version and copied it to the gamedata file, and it still doesnt work. If its necessary, i have an AMD graphics card and an intel processor

how do i open my inventory with a controller
So i downloaded Total Chaos DC 1.32. I ended up in the "Forgot" act after taking the elevator from "Decay" but now i'm stuck after lowering the bridge and looting the SMG, i seem to have come to a dead end. Am i missing something or is there a bug?
I tried watching Youtubers to see what to do next but after they take the elevator from Decay they reach the Surface act so that didn't help much.
I'm playing on Linux via Wine.
OK so notice there's a linux version and restarted the game and got to the same spot and figured out where to go. There is a boss arena close to the beginning of "Forgot" where the dialogue is triggered that you need a more "conventional weapon". When you return there after you get the smg the door is open so you can fight the boss.

The ship and other moving objects, and some static ones, flicker. Moving objects flicker constantly and some static ones only flicker when I move the camera.
I noticed that people with NVIDIA were able to fix the problem with Vulkan, but I've got a Radeon RX580, and still can't find a fix.
Edit: I forgot to mention this problem also occurs on the standalone version.
I have the exact same Graphics Card and I have the same problem. Hoping for a fix :(

The game is totaly broken. It launches but when i try to load my save either the pc locks up so i have to soft reset it or the game crashes after a few seconds.
I tried 3 different recent saves.
Such a shame..
this game is awesome tho when trying to stack shotgun ammo it turn int shotgun ammo box in name and description saying a box containing 2 shotgun shells tho keeping the single shell icon and taking up 2 space's in the inventory wont let the shotgun reload if its the only ammo type present
