As this is early days im not going to waste your time fluffing up a big story for this mod. Countless mods have spent effort in all the pleasantries at the beginning only to dissapoint when they die off without producing anything that matters!
So I am going to cut right to it!
This mod so far has these aims:
-Recreate C&C experience taking inspiration from C&C Renegade (primary).
-Use unit and weapons of C&C 3 Tiberium Wars (e.g. MK2 Mammoth Tanks)
-Use as much of the Crysis 2 game mechanics and assets to reduce development time as much as possible.
-Take concepts and explore the ideas of the axed "Tiberium" game (squad based gameplay, FPS with strategy).
-Multiplayer! -No Singleplayer
-Take the Multiplayer concepts of Crysis and Crysis Wars (domination, power struggle)
Now to clear it up even more!
This mod will not:
-Spawn Nyan Cats ingame!
-Be an RTS!
-Be a remake of Renegade!
-Have Nanosuit GDI or NOD units!
--The first release; what to expect?--
As modelling and texturing etc are time consuming I will be representing the C&C factions as such in order to save time:
Nod = CELL
GDI = Marines
Scrin = Ceph
Civilians = Civilians
...but then after that ... well who knows?
-Dont expect anything great till August/September as that is when the SDK will be released.
-I will be busy during this time developing the idea and having a project plan made.
-Please do not ask to join this mod as it is too early for anyone to help but please do keep your eyes peeled.
