Tiberian Sun Rising is a total conversion for Command & Conquer 3 Tiberium Wars! Tiberian Sun Rising brings back GDI and Nod battling it out during the Second Tiberium War, retelling Tiberian Sun as never before. This isn't just a remake of the hit title C&C Tiberian Sun. It is a mod making Tiberian Sun as it should have been originally so expecting lots of new fun and originality while sticking to the feel Tiberian Sun had. Taking the mindset that this is the first time Tiberian Sun is being made and using the original game as a design concept. This mod will also include the additions made in Firestorm so it is a remake of Tiberian Sun and Firestorm as one to what they should have been.New abilities and units will appear in Tiberian Sun Rising as well as new kind of gameplay altogether.
The final of the three screenshots. This bridge controls access to the small town in the east. defend it or expect enemy forces to roll up your flanks.
Really well thought out with the trees that grows along the river.
It looks unnatural to be honest; looks too intentional.
i agree with both arguments but i think maybe have it thined out in more areas maybe or at least move some of them farther out a little
Coming from a mapper of many games (C&C3, BFME2, C&C1, etc) caution must be used if you want it to look realistic. I think maybe the dead trees should be spread out along the land and leave the alive trees near the river. There should always be trees near rivers and lakes in most cases. But the first thing I noticed was "Wow that's a lot of trees near the river, and why are some of them dead?". Now I'm not a critic, it's never a rewarding feel when someone comes by and tells you the map sucks. But do consider revamping the location of the trees for a better atmosphere :)
Actually gameplay wise it wouldn't matter even if they was placed on the bridge lol
Given the tiberium pollution levels leading up to and during the second tiberium war I would say it's logical for there to be a number of dead or dying trees.
However I do agree that they look a tad forced and as such I'm considering spreading them back further from the river slightly to reduce the obvious banding.
I am sure that in TS the tree randomly scattered with dead trees mixed with healthy ones, just check the old TS maps.
One reason could be like yggdrasil said was Tib leveling on the rise affecting the atmosphere killing trees slowly
(if Angy just - karma)
Who cares about the trees. Take a picture of an army walking over it and I'm a happy guy. ^^
