Will not start Thread - Third Age - Total War mod for Medieval II: Total War: Kingdoms

Ive done everything that the directions said for steam users but when I start the crusade campaign (which is the one I used)it goes to the medieval 2 total war loading screen then goes blank and a pop-up says medieval 2 and when I start it again it says im not connected to the internet(which I am) and says check the proxy server in connection settings because it cant update the server. please help.

I had the same problem at first. I fixed it by installing another mod pack call MOS. Link below

I installed it into the existing third age folder and it works perfectly now.
