Major upgrade released for Xmas 2022. I'm a big fan of S.T.A.L.K.E.R. myself. Plus I'm a big fan of Amnesia, Penumbra & especially SOMA. So guess what? I decided to create a short narrative experience keeping in mind: what could happen if the worlds of S.T.A.L.K.E.R. and SOMA were linked, in a parallel universe?
The atmosphere and object design were incredible, it really feels like S.T.A.L.K.E.R. only without the gun.
But my main complain is the background story, that is not great and pretty fast in the story to be like a real 'Plot twist'
Besides that, even without a real monster the backgrounds and setting make The Woodpecker a good CS although is too short.
a very unique submission. i really liked the theme and atmosphere of it. i wish it was a little longer and the endings had more impact on the story which all in all could have used some more refinement. still, fine job, 8/10, would want to see more like this!

The story makes you really think. The developer is really good in story writing. So, if you like stories, this is a good CS to play.
