The Wastes: Source is a Half-Life 2 multiplayer modification pitting you, the hapless wastelander, on a quest for survival! Battle other warriors in unique locales ranging from nuclear bunkers to deserted cities. The Wastes: Source is being developed by the same team that brought you The Wastes for the original Half-Life, and shares many characteristics with its predecessor, Wasteland Half-Life. The Source engine will provide even more opportunity for mindless killing, hardcore deathmath and teamplay modes, and numerous weapons ranging from experimental to downright gruesome. So grab your sawed off, prepare some molotovs and get ready to fight for your life! The Wastes was just unveiled at QuakeExpo 2016!

Some of you may have wondered why there had been so much activity on this page. Well, after ten years of silence, The Wastes has crawled back out of the the atomic crater.

We've been working on this for about a year now and there is a lot to talk about!

Since we are only announcing the existence of the new, standalone version of The Wastes, you'll only get a few teasers for now. Get psyched and check out our media/info at our QuakeExpo booth!

After the Expo, we'll recap all that we've revealed and post our media here for the people that missed out!
