I wish I read these comments before I bought the game for this mod.
Ironically I would have bought the game just to play this mod lmfao.
Why have I just now found this? and to boot it is no longer going, tis a sad day in the known galaxy.
Is this still going to be worked on and expanded?
Doesn't look that way. It was to be expected, really - one does not simply singlehandedly make a total conversion. (Usually, one does not singlehandedly make a total conversion at all. :P)
This was particularly tricky (and therefore particularly hard to pull off) because it was planning on adding a whole bunch of complex game mechanics in addition to all the other stuff TheRealTitanicus seemed to be planning on doing.
Actually I dropped it because the size of the SR2 community is just too small to commit so much time to developing it. I threw some of the ships in there and got a prototype version out but didn't really have fun with the basic game mechanics.
If the game really grabbed me and was "fun" for me (personal opinion of course!) I probably would have continued. As it is, i'm working on a roguelike TC for skyrim right now and might revisit this mod (or a similar one) later on.
Thanks for viewing though guys. :)
Then if you don't mind, I wouldn't mind having your blessing to make use of the models from this (now) defunct mod for a project I'm working on. It's basically a sci-fi mash-up of added races for a sandbox style clash. I've started with the Stargate stuff but in time, I would like to expand to other content (BSG, Star Wars, etc).
