The Trials of Britannia is a mod for Rome Total War: Barbarian Invasion. It will cover Britain in one of it's most divided and ruinous times. The mod starts in 622, and will see the island's many factions compete with each other over the island. It is a battle of faith as well as land and titles.

Trials of Britannia May 2022 Update:
The Beta release of TOB will include nine Anglo-Saxon factions. Each faction has a unique unit and building options, and it's own struggles with religion and finances.
- Majority of battle map units added. Units are models from Barbarian Invasion, retextured to fit the scheme of the mod.
- The prevalence of shield wall capable infantry units highlights the tactics used at the time. The Anglo-Saxon factions have limited cavalry, and these are purposed mainly for chasing down routing troops rather than engaging in head on charges. Effective use of infantry and archers is of course paramount.
- The Dominion system has been implemented, inhibiting overexpansion. There are three tiers of dominion buildings, only a predetermined amount of regions for each faction are capable of building to the upper tiers, making recruitment in higher tiers difficult as expansion occurs.
- The campaign map has been altered to the Viking Invasion 2 map. In addition, TOB now makes use of much of the U.I. of VI2.

главное не повторять ошибок некоторых модов ,когда воевать , в основном ,приходилось начальными юнитами-бомжами так как покупка тяжёлых юнитов практически была недоступна из-за убитой экономики.я ,не люблю тратить время на войны бомжей..надеюсь автор мода сумеет выбрать золотую серединку и создать такой вариант ,при котором развитие экономики будет направлено на масштабные войны именно тяжёлыми юнитами..желаю автору творческих успехов..
