In the bloody engagement, the 501st lost an entire battalion, entirely composed of veteran troops from the clone wars and Operation: Knightfall.
Although technically a star destroyer, the Provider class was re-classified as an assault Carrier in an attempt to avoid confusion with imperial warships. Not only do they carry a large amount of starfighters they are also very heavily armed. These ships are so powerful that they are called "Baby Star Battleships" my many fleet commanders. The only downside of these ships is their weak armor, if their powerful shields are somehow breached by enemy fire they will not last long.
