After almost 3 years of laying dormant, we have brought RTR8 v4.0 back to life with a final version! We are back, and ready to continue the RTR story, but we needed to clean up our last release that contained many issues bugs and missing descriptions. This has all been cleaned up to give you the best experience 4.0 has to offer!
So as the summary states, it's been quite awhile. We all went separate ways once we released the last patch and never game back.. until now! I myself have been reinvigorated to keep this mod going. The core of v4.0 is back for the most part and we all have ideas to push this mod to be one of the best. However we needed to finish what we started and that was cleaning up 4.0. The last version was super buggy, and there were so many CTD's we didn't know where to start, so we cleaned up the traits and ancillaries, added a brand new environments system, and also fixed some issues with formations. The random and glitchy CTD's should rarely happen now.
Also, we got the economy, build times, prices and unit stats way more streamlined to what they were originally intended to be!
To install:
1. Extract folder to a RTW directory that has RTW Alexander installed.
2. Go to RTR/launcher and double click RTRLauncher.exe
3. Make sure to select campaign or battles before you start
4. Play!
Who worked on this patch? (There have been many on this team in the past, and many might come back, but this list is who is actively working on the project now.. there are others who have recently joined our team that will make a great contribution in the future!)

Installed and launched but can't even start the game. It crash from lack of memory when loading the the very first campaign map! Interesting, no other mod has managed to run out of memory even before starting :P
I've run the 4gb patch on the alex.exe before launching and set the graphical settings to about what I normally have (quite high AA etc). Is this mod somehow different from most others, ie EB, XC etc and I have to reduce the graphical properties? I'm a but surprised actually.

Turn off Anti Aliasing, that seems to be a huge issue for this mod. Should run smoothly afterwords.
Since it's in Alexander RTW, when playing battle with the RTS camera, does it also have the camera bug?

i played previous ver, the big *** ctd for me was game freezing just everything stops during battle and i can't return myself to desktop the only remedy was restarting manualy...i hope this ver would be better, and i will try if i have time for this one why not, take care..

Hi, so this version has the hotfix integrated? just saw version 4.02 on twc and there was a hotfix there.

I get the end turn crash a lot here. Used 4gb Patch on Alx.exe, no anti aliasing..
Maybe reinstall? Not sure what else would be causing it

I'm dumb, totally forgot that they're Hellenistic.
At first, I thought it was a bug since each time I capture Seleucid city and create the colony building, I face massive eastern culture unrest. The Silk trade building also increasing the eastern culture. Prompting me to think that the Seleucid also an eastern culture.
Every time I try to launch the mod from the launcher (both in battle and campaign mode) this pops up and closes the game: "Failed to read censored word dictionary file: data//chat_filter.san"
How do I correct this error?

The mod crashes to desktop after a consecutive number of turns and now I can't advance. I cannot identify what was the error because there is no message popping up. It really sucks!

CTD while returning to campaign map after the first campaign battle is over.
I have 4GB patch applied to all RTW *.exe files, and it's the first battle, without doing anything else, no next turn or anything. So, it can't be because of memory leak.
This is a very frustrating bug, since i just had a heroic victory and it is as if i didn't do anything.
I have the same graphics settings as other mods, and these CTDs only happened in this mod.
Anyways, i will turn off Anti Aliasing and see if that helps.
